With all these ROM flashes it's a pain to reconfigure the Touch (eg, email setting, today screen etc.) I've download PIMBackup and it looks like it backups 'data' but how do I get it to backup my configs?

BTW, anyone tried the Bell GPS software ? Is it good ? It worth $8 a month ? A lot of POI ?

Same thing but select restore instead of backup

changed computer....it works now....wow...updating as i speak

I had people telling me i had to relock my phone...do a full nand format of the phone! But changing computer was the thing...haha

I was having this problem yesterday at work, just kept sticking to 1X. I hard-rebooted and even reflashed the rom but didn't help.

Then when I drove home, it switched back to Ev and I haven't had a problem since! Today at work it's Ev. So I think there might have been a tower coverage problem where I was in Toronto.

EDIT: There is definitely something wrong again. I'm at work and it was on Ev but as soon as I opened up a data connection (check weather) it switched to 1X and that's where it stayed now.

I just flashed to the new bell rom and NFSFAN 1.13v2 and get that same 1x issue.

Before I flashed to bell (was at radio-37 and NFSFAN 1.13) It said EV?

Anythought? I am in oakville (just on the border of Mississauga).

Hi,

I've finally upgraded mine... from stock/original/untouched TOUCH :P
Installed googlemaps as my first app. Was pleasantly suprised to lock within 5 sex.

Did a full restore from SPB backup and that screwed my GPS app... I only ofund out after hard reset . When doing a restore from SPB make sure you only restore everything BUT the System Data ( programs, registries etc).

So now i only need to reintall the programs



ps: Anyone knows if googlemaps gps can give you turn by turn directions and rerouting capabilities like TT? I've never used google maps as gps navigation and havent had a chance to use it yet because this morning it wasnt working... until i got to work are just reformatted it to get the gps working again!

I'm finding that anytime the phone needs data transmittion, it switches to 1X. And for some reason it's always transmitting data for short periods. On top of that, when it's transmitting in 1X mode, I don't receive phone calls.

For those who cannot update, and have error 328 while updating

make sure you are using the newest rom from post #4. If you went directly to htc's website, then you might have downloaded version 1.59 despite doing all the right clicks. I know I made that mistake.

OR TRY RUNNING THE UPDATE ON ANOTHER COMPUTER

I had the error and that's all I had to do to fix it.
