for me, the problem strangely had shown up ONLY when GPS was NOT open/primed.. if GPS is primed before using iGO, it never froze... now, after I uninstalled and reinstalled it once, the problem has gone for good, and iGO is able to start even withoht GPS being primed.. have no idea why .. |

Here's what you do: 1. Assuming you have the IGO8 directory, 2577 directory, and gpslog in your sd card, install IGO8 from the 2577 directory by clicking on the autorun.exe. It will install and launch IGO8. At this point, IGO8 will be slow and appear to freeze. This is okay. Just get out of it. 2. Go into \windows\start menu\programs and delete all references to IGO8 so that you will not confuse yourself in the following step. There should be 2 links, one called IGO8 Nav n Go and the other is the uninstall. 3. Install astrolauncher. Then download and unzip the following link and put into the \windows\start menu\programs folder on your touch: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...&postcount=207 It is a shortcut that does some magic. 4. Now go to start menu=>programs and look for the IGO8 shortcut. This shortcut launches Astrolauncher to prime the GPS and then launches IGO8. that's the magic. It's a one click solution to your problem. 5. The last thing to do is delete the shortcuts for iguidance and tomtom from the programs folder since you don't have those installed. I've found that if you launch IGO8 without opening the GPS port, IGO8 will appear to freeze. However, if you launch it using the Astrolauncher shortcut in step 3, IGO8 will not freeze even when there are no sats detected - like in the basement in a house. try it and see if it works for you. Re: Official Bell Mobility GPS/Sat Radio/Rev A. Update!
The speaker is sound, the bars with the antenna is network. the one with the arrows is activesync. the one with the plug is your battery charging. Just click on one of the icons when that balloon pops up.

I'm having the same issue as you. I've also gone through similar steps as you but when the error message pops up the customization process freezes and does not complete. Does anyone know the problem or fix? |
