Re: Vogue 19588 Kitchen

Hi Everyone.

Thanks for this new build, it seems to work great for me!

However, can someone tell me what is the stupid option (I probably checked) that makes a blue bubble appear when I click any icons on the notification tab (top right of today's screen). This is really annoying!. If I click on the volume icon, why do I have to click again on the icon in the bubble that appear, instead of going directly to the volume...

Thanks!

I was under the impression that running PPST is something I'm not supposed to do on a Verizon phone. But since the leaked rom has PPST in the name. . . did I already do the PPST thing and fix the GPS when I installed the leaked rom and 3.42 radio? I then installed this current kitchen, and my gps works, but kinda sucks. Should I have updated the PPST when the leaked rom was installed, or was that already done by default, or maybe I'm not supposed to because my phone is verizon? Sorry to be a moron, I'm trying to get this. . .

Do NOT run the PPST on your xv6900! When you say you installed the current kitchen, what does that mean? Did you use the ppcgeeks kitchen to cook a rom? What does "kinda sucks" mean? With more information maybe we can be of some help.

Well, the GPS takes a few minutes to get a lock with GPS viewer. Only then will google maps find me. I've also installed the BAF today plugin (via the kitchen), but that doesn't seem to do anything for me. I installed the PPCkitchen newest rom over the sprint leaked rom (for the 3.42 radio).

edit: btw, this rom works great. Only problem was I couldn't get the Diamond keyboard to work, so I went back to the Touch keyboard. Besides the GPS, I'm happy as a clam!

edit: Thanks for answering the question about the PPST!

Re: Vogue 19588 Kitchen

Well this works great, made my first rom and works good. Now on to tweaking.

I have one question though I didn't see in this thread. Does this kitchen remove carrier customizations? Maybe they have always been removed but I wasn't sure if it was OK to let customizations run at the end even if I select Vzw in the kitchen.

Re: Vogue 19588 Kitchen

Another unrelated question: For Verizon to get the PIC/MMS to show up like stock which Arcsoft package do you select. I did both and it combined text and mms into one messaging option instead of individual mailboxes. I wasn't sure if ti was a matter of selecting the correct one or something else I am missing. Thanks.

Re: Vogue 19588 Kitchen

What is the difference between the stock Arcsoft and the new one? I just figured I'd play it safe and use the stock one. What's the perk of the new one?

Re: Vogue 19588 Kitchen

Alright. I tried creating a Custom OEM and then when I realized that the OEM wouldn't cook right, I deleted it out of the User_OEM folder. Now I am getting this message:

Internal Error - Option.xml GUID not found (Polen Vista Cube(Full Animations)
Skin - ffffffff-faec-4407-a5ee-a0a9cf0fc455)

I removed the OEM and then when that didn't solve the problem, I removed and reinstalled the ENTIRE program. Still I get this error message and I am unable to use the kitchen because when I ignore this error message and build the ROM like normal, I get another error message when actually cooking the ROM - "Error" and it just quits.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this? I have been working on this project for a while now and now that I have the working OEMS the kitchen is jacked up and I can't build the ROM... It's really frustrating.

Dan.

EDIT:: Just uninstalled again. COMPLETELY uninstalled this time... I even removed the temp files and the rest of the files in the ppckitchen.org programs folder. I even restarted my computer in between uninstall and reinstall. Reinstalled the program and the updater is running as we speak. I report whether or not I still get this error message. If I do, it might just be something that needs to be fixed within the program itself.

Ok after doing ALL of the above, I am still getting the exact same error message. Nothing seems to fix it. It's really driving me crazy...

I really need a fix guys, please help.

Dan.
