Then I hard reset, let customizations run, and everything felt like it was back to normal. Others on this forum have had similar experiences. But if your not having any issues, then I would just leave it alone as well. No point in hard resetting if you dont have to.
What about people running custom ROMs, like OMJs latest? How do you run PPST.exe on it? I tried it, and my GPS diminishes after a few hours... so far, this stock ROM works a lot better...

thanks....

is their any dangers in flashing to the orginal rom. since the newest 6.1 rom has a newer radio?

You run PPST by looking in the Windows folder (windows/PPST.exe) for a file called "PPST" and just click on it.

The custom roms require you to run PPST to provision your GPS and Data services, and then GPS works great (at least for me) with no issues.

This New official one does not require you to manually run PPST because it already does it for you when it runs the customizations at first boot (For Sprint Users).

I agree, this New Official ROM has been working flawlessly for me, and has been a heck of a lot snappier!

If you are reffering to the Original Non-GPS rom that initially came with the Touch, then yes. There's always some dangers of Bricking when downgrading to the original ROM, as it comes with the Non-GPS radio and will reinstall it.

If you do downgrade, make sure you use Cokeman's .40 Non-Gps unlocker first.

In my opinion, There really isnt any reason to do this though. I brought my Touch for a warranty exchange when I had the Sprint Leaked ROM 3.02 installed and they swapped it out with no problems. I dont even think they (sprint tech's) know whether or not you changed your ROM

The red icons are the color of the Sprint "OperatorLauncherPlugin" Home screen icons found in Settings>Today>Items . If you dont run the customizations, then the Sprint icons will be Red instead of Yellow.

I agree. Seeing that is only 2 days (not even) away, its probably a good idea to just wait.

Hopefully it actually gets released Monday. We'll see.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

This is probably obvious but...
I'm a Bell customer in Canada... (White Rock, BC... 1 km from the US Border). I upgraded to the new Sprint ROM this morning. Love it but... because there is not a custom ROM out yet specific to bell, I'm stuck using the Sprint settings.

My question:
I assume because it is a Sprint ROM, my phone will try to access the towers in the US rather than in Canada... ???
The "service" settings in the "phone" control panel/setting is very specific to Sprint and obviously does not give a conclusive "Home Only" for Canadian Bell customers... any suggestions. I don't really want to flash back to OMJ OEM ROM MS Mobile 6.1 for Bell as it uses the leaked Sprint and not the new official ROM.

Side note:
GPS locks quicker than leaked version. Sweet.
