Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

Anyone else seeing their Phone app open up in the background after installing any cab files? I went on an installing spree yesterday and after each install, the phone app was open. Even after soft reset.

Extremely annoying.

Doesn't seem to be keeping that setting or else the dialer is lying?
I am having the same problem, if I turn it off and back on it shows the correct symbol. Anybody figure it out yet?

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

I have had more problems with this "Offical" rom than any other I've loaded for either the touch or mogul. I have changed the PRL, reloaded, and numerous reg tweaks but I still have problems with GPS locks and EVDO is very poor. I am leaving this one after two days of banging my head against the wall. If Sprint comes out with this one I cant imagine all the hate that is going their way.

wow....Sorry to hear that. I havent had any issues so far. Data is fast, and gps locks quickly as well. This rom is the speediest I've tested thus far.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

I just flashed back to Almost OEM 6.1 Sprint ROM **V.3.0** and I havent changed the radio yet, it is still 3.42.30 and I am using PRL 60612 and it seems some of my problems have gone away starting with the error that google maps was saying this device doesnt support my location. Gmaps now works well and I am getting better and faster locks. I will be watching the EVDO issues all day.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

I installed the new ROM yesterday, had about 60% battery last night, and had a dead battery this morning....I was surprised, as I have not had this problem in the past with my Touch.

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

so does PIM Backup work for restoring your contacts, text messages, etc?

I don't mind reinstalling all my software, but I don't want to put all my contacts back in.

Thanks

Re: NEW official Sprint ROM posted on XDA-dev by DCD

I've been experiencing a strange behavior since upgrading to this ROM. My Touch will spontainiously pop out of standby and light up. It can just be sitting idle on my desk and it will light up after being in standby (idle) for a period of time. No calls coming in or texts. Anyone else experience this?

man its just using your data services to update whatever you have it set to update, ie: the weather, email, or simply changing from evdo to 1x..
