Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

With what you Bell guys figured out(##MSL Code#), and the ability to revert back to an older PRI with ##786#, this should work on any carrier, but Im not responsible if you screw ur phone. So, is everyone seeing an improvement on GPS performance

I did see an improvement on gps lock time... But i always used to get 6-8 sats... Now i just get them within a minutes instead of 2-5 mins. All of that is outside with a semi to fully cleared sky

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I'm on Verizon-have a 6900. I just got my phone loaded with apps and all the settings done. So are you saying I'd have to reflash my rom which would wipe out all my settings???

Is there any way without doing a hard reset?

I'm about the same... an improvement. Just not dramatic.

So you ran the ppst file without reflashing the rom? And will anyone know if that will negatively impact my phone or not?

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I only got through half the posts.. but I decided to try it anyway.

I have a Sprint Touch (w/ sprint..)
I had to run PPST_080407_7500_SPCS_2.03 in windows folder to get the PPST.exe file.
Ran PPST.exe to do the update (it changed my BG, oh well).
No priming, ran Live Search, GPS found location in seconds now, not minutes. Surprising results. Thanks!

I did not have the issue of realigning screen or anything like that. Only tested for a few minutes, cause it was so fast to get a lock. Also, GPS works in this old building of ours (just as fast as if I were outside).

thats right.. I never reflashed the Sprint Rom.. just ran the PPST file.. then rebooted.. all the settings were retained.
