Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
I understand ##786 but like I said in my previous post, I don't know how to access it from the Verizon touch. I tried ##786 send, ##786# send, even "epst.exe ##786" manually (which is basically what the phone shortcuts do) and nothing pulled up the reverse logistics screen on the Verizon touch. It looks like the reverse screen makes the phone revert back to a previous pri, maybe stored in a super secret place in the phone's rom.
I would love to do steps 1-6 Ghetto if someone could help with how to get to the reverse screen on a Verizon touch! |

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!
Thanks Ghetto - Getting to ##786 worked by copying a sprint version of epst.epst (not the epst.exe but the epst.epst file) to the Verizon phone. Now I can access the reverse logistics support screen. This next step is actually performing the test! Are you thinking what I'm thinking that a backup original pri exists in the phone's rom that reverts a later pri back to original but still keeps what ever flags are set for gps?
Also, your steps 4 and 5 to key *22803>option 2 and then *22803>option 1, would that be the equivilant to just *228 option 2 and 1 for Verizon (without the 03 and 02)? When I dial *22803 the phone just hangs up. I assume with Telus it's *22803 and with Verizon it's *228. Any insight? Last edited by jspesp; 05-30-2008 at 03:38 PM. |

**WARNING: I'm with Bell Mobility, If this destroys your phone I take no credit!
![]() I'm not sure what's going on here... but this is what I've done so far: - flashed Sprint leaked... skipped customizations - opened File Explorer, went to \windows -> show all files - installed the PPST cab - ran PPST.exe - it said "Failed to backup EFS" and rebooted. - downloaded the Sprint_PPST.cab from this thread - installed, it gave me a bunch of warnings saying it's already installed... i continued. - it said install of the CAB failed. - I ran PPST.exe again. This time it worked and rebooted. - Here's the very interesting part:::: When it rebooted I had the new PRI and everything still working (phone, network, etc)??? WTF? ![]() ![]() ![]() - I flashed a PPCkitchen ROM, then hard reset before the new OS loaded. - Google Maps still shows the same number of satellites as before for the same position (3-5). Any ideas or comments? ![]() Last edited by kbl; 05-30-2008 at 07:55 PM. |
