Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

I had run the kitchen, and then after installed a different ROM (OMJ's most recent for Sprint which is based on the kitchen).

Does that mean I should not have (and should not need to run) PPST.EXE?

Thanks.

Absolutely amazing. The gps was sketchy before this fix.
If it works for you, it sure is a great find.

Re: Sprint still having GPS problems? Try this!

My 24 hours of joy came to an end just now... Started Googlemaps, it flashed 7 sats and then went dead. No sats whatsoever, ended up stuck in the ocean again.. Reset, nothing. Took battery out, nothing.... Back to GPS hell.

I then reloaded PPST and I'm back in business. Very strange...

Hopefully this will not be a recurring problem. Joy for now again.

Actually my ppst cab was the one taking out of the Exe, so it wasn't as current as yours. It didn't update the PRI and installed an incorrect PRL. I was trying to extract the PPST you posted from the rom, but didn't have enough time while at work yesterday.

Dutch I had the same problem. I'm thinking it's because the PPST makes some registry changes, that don't carry over when you ran PPST on the Sprint leaked rom to your kitchen rom. I ran Bogsie's PPST on my new kitchen rom and connected again. I'll need to give it a good 8 hours with no gps to see what happens.

Thanks for the clarification; I just wanted to ensure that I didn't seem to be or wasn't trying to take credit for something that other people had figured out.

Best regards,

I just want to make sure that someone who got my download before it was taken down didn't post it back up since yours is the one they want to use, not mine.

Edit:

I just had a thought about non Sprint users using this PPST. If they ran PPST then after updating to the newer PRI went and put a Verizon PRL back on wouldn't that make it work with Verizon while having the GPS problem fixed?
