Same reason it does it with the stock ROM. Activesync.

Use dotFred taskmanager to remove the notification/scheduled task which runs repllog.exe every time the time syncs with the network. You can also try setting activesync's schedule to manual.

and just for the record...flashing custom roms is not risky. if its os only there is basically no way that you can hurt your phone; you can always stick it back in the bootloader and re-flash. it always bugs me how people call it risky when the only reason they think its risky is because they havent read/studied. you cant brick youre phone flashing an os only rom.

read these and you will be well on your way (and yes you have to read all of at least the first page, dont go skipping over stuff, you can make it):

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24979
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17473

reading the stickies at the top of a sub-forum in which you are confused is always a great way to go. just keep reading. i know its a lot, but a lot of the directions there are quite clear and concise for how to flash and the like. i can understand having questions about the official kitchen itself, but when it comes to asking for a tutorial concerning something about which tutorials have already been written, you may be slightly out of place.

let me know if you have any more quesitons, good luck!
I just want to make a quick reply to this message. I just got my Touch on Friday (5/9). Up until this weekend I had never messed with custom rom's, updating bootloaders or upgrading the "radio". In fact when I first read that you needed an updated radio my initial reaction was "WTF, I don't care about using my phone to listen to the radio", LOL. 3 days later (lots of time spent reading this site) and my Touch is rockin a cooked ROM with GPS and Rev A along with TomTom (which is awesome) and a ton of other applications. Did it take some time to figure everything out, absolutely. Did my phone somehow brick at the HTC splash screen, absolutely, lol . I stayed calm, flashed back to stock, did more reading and started over.

So basically what I'm saying is, Search is your friend and read your a$$ off, it's not rocket science. YOU CAN DO IT!!! =D>

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

By chance, is anyone using IM+ on the test OEM or kitchem rom? I've never had trouble with IM+ before, but I'm using my own kitchem rom, which is great btw, and it's loading fine and signing in correctly. That is, until I try to open up a dialog window (IM window) for a person, and after that it just crashes. Doesn't matter which service or which person. I'm hoping to find someone that uses IM+ to confirm it's a bug with the new rom or it's just some mistake I made.

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

another bug is the regional setting keeps switching back to Prague timezone randomly.
i thought it was after resets, but now it seems to just do it whenever...

ive had to switch back my timezone manually a couple times now.

That does not appear to have done the trick...

Any other ideas?

I had this issue as well on no2's latest I thought I had it narrowed down to quickgps being the issue when it attempts to lock after downloading information. I have yet to see this issue on the leaked ROM without quickgps if u are using quickgps maybe uninstall and see if it fixes itself.
