Interesting that this isn't being auto-run during customizations..

EDIT: it does run PPST.EXE during customizations.. Why run it again?

EDIT: Ok ran it.. I updated the PRI to 2.03_003

thanks,

I figured I'd wait until an "official" release from sprint came along. Now this "leaked" ROM is here and it seems it's the closest thing to an official version as we're going to see any time soon so I thought I was going to take a try at it.
First, it seems to me that this should make the Altel modification obsolete for our sprint touchs and it should run without having to unlock/worry about sprint customizations (stock) etc. But HOLD on one sec here!!!!! Seems the leaked rom doesn't include all the dlls required to make the gps run correctly so we either have to put the dll in the windows folder, but not if we run the "kitchenized" version since that already has the dll installed. But does this version also include all the stock stuff from sprint??? I can't tell from what I've read. and if I want to cook my own rom from the kitchen I can do that if I use the unlocker???
Why can't y'all speak english to us and come up with a simple step by step to take my stock touch (running hhc customizer, weather panel, Phatfinger and touchpal resco explorer and backup and a 3 or 4 sided cube and make it all work?
If you want it on a silver platter wait for Sprint.

The Stock Leaked ROM, as is, runs FINE with NO new GPS DLL's. I think someone saw the file missing and had the normal slow lock and assumed it was the problem.

I have tweaked my GPS setting in registry but I don't think it's absolutely required.

The Altel ROM with Sprint Radio and GPS DLL's (as hack together that might be) ran a little smoother. Probably better than the ROM that came with the Sprint Touch.

But I prefer be on all Sprint Stuff if it's available even if it's slightly quirky. The Quirky behavior might be just because of maturity of WM 6.1 and the apps I choose to run on it.

My computer at work had the same issue (we must have the authentication port blocked in our company firewall). Seeing as I had already updated the kitchen, I ended up tethering my touch to let me log into the kitchen. You might want to unplug your system from the company network before plugging your touch in to make sure your PC uses the touch for the internet and not your corporate network.

I don't know how long you need it connected to work in the kitchen... I left mine on up until the time I was ready to flash my phone.

Hope this helps.

Same here. All dialers are missing numbers except for the original htc dial pad dated 5/1/08. Can someone post a preview of all the dialers in the kitchen, thanks

I'd love to have the GPS and Rev A, but am terrified that I will miss something or not touch a button at the right time.

Thanks in Advance if someone posts a tutorial....

you are just going to have to read read read. thats what everyone has done. but, luckily, some ppl have made it easier for you.

and just for the record...flashing custom roms is not risky. if its os only there is basically no way that you can hurt your phone; you can always stick it back in the bootloader and re-flash. it always bugs me how people call it risky when the only reason they think its risky is because they havent read/studied. you cant brick youre phone flashing an os only rom.

read these and you will be well on your way (and yes you have to read all of at least the first page, dont go skipping over stuff, you can make it):

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24979
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17473

reading the stickies at the top of a sub-forum in which you are confused is always a great way to go. just keep reading. i know its a lot, but a lot of the directions there are quite clear and concise for how to flash and the like. i can understand having questions about the official kitchen itself, but when it comes to asking for a tutorial concerning something about which tutorials have already been written, you may be slightly out of place.

let me know if you have any more quesitons, good luck!

Yeah, any of the dialers based on the Touch style or Bluefrog dialers are broken. Just havent gotten around to finding out why.

Re: Vogue GPS 3.02 Kitchen (w/ NEW Sprint Leaked ROM)

This thread is getting extremely long im going to start a thread that has things not to install when cooking a kitchen, little easier access fo rpeople seeing as there are a handful of things people might want that dont work well.
