Bummer but I understand. Thanks for trying. I think Mobile Shell 2 had worked for me on the previous kitchen but I'll just install it myself. Not surprising there are a bunch of tweaks and registry issues with this one.

Works fine for me. Better than the smartphone edition as you can actually exit the program and use the menus.

I do like v1.30 better as well. No carrier splash screens...a big plus! I don't want any funny blue or orange logo...

Music ID 1.3

Uh, oh, looks like Cingular caught on to us. Music ID 1.3 doesn't play nice after about a week. Upon launching it now says "In order to use MusicID, you will need to subscribe. Press OK to go to the subscription page" which won't load because it's not recognizing me as a Cingular phone I'm guessing.

I gotta figure there's a settings file somewhere that's triggered this but a quick search couldn't find it. I tried trashing the MusicID folder in Application Data but that didn't do it.

Oh well, I can live with the Smartphone version (especially considering I only use this app once every couple weeks and more as a music trivia thing).

Thanks for trying though.

I could not get the Alltel OEM to work. When I tried to use IE it would say that i could not connect.

I am using DCD's Kitchen.

Don't know about that. All I did was OEM up the contents, I'm not resposible for what's inside...

The difference there may be...With an OEM they are installed at boot. After that ROM's have most of their carrier customization settings set up in their provisioning files, that will overwrite any OEM settings you have.

Can't help ya unless you let me download your kitchen so I can look at it. I will have by this evening uploaded my version of custom carrier roms complete with Kitchen. They are based off the stock releases and will include Alltel, Bell, and Sprint for now.

Here's some screenshots of what each rom will look like:

How do I install the OEM files. They are .rar files on the computer but when I move them to my phone it says not a valid file. Help please.

OEMs are compressed archives that contain the elements necessary to cook or be built into a rom, using BuildOS.

They won't be of much use on an already built rom, unless you have nuePackageInstaller built into that rom.
