Here is just what I did:

unlocked w/ ImCokeMan's v2.31 unlocker.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370

Flashed the leaked rom .exe to upgrade your radio to 3.37.15
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OM..._0823_Test.exe

let the Customization run. Once phone has booted, run \Windows\PPST.exe to upgrade the PRI.

Installed OMJ’s latest Custom ROM
ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OM....Sprint.v2.exe

That is all I've done so far.

So to help isolate the problem:
Where are you saving your pictures to? Phone or memory card.
What size of memory card do you have?
What modifications have you done to the rom?
What programs have you installed, any Post-flash customizations.
Do you have any other memory card issues?
Saving to memory card but have also tried the phone with same results.
Memory card is 4gb and works fine with everything else
No modifications to any roms
Have not installed any other software and the only post-flash was after the leaked rom and after OMJ's rom and that is it.
No other card issues.

Hope that helps. Just doesn't seem to be saving my pictures or video anywhere. Is there another step to follow to save your pictures/video? I tried click the shutter button again and it looked like it saved but nothing there. Something isn't right though.

OMJ, when you asked if I've tried it with the leaked rom, do you mean to just install the leaked ROM without your custom rom then try it? I'll try that tomorrow.

OMJ, I have recently flashed my Touch to your latest Version 3, but had one question. How can I get the phone to set it's clock automatically using the Sprint Network? The phone did that before I flashed it, but not anymore. For some reason it does not recognize DST either, as I live in the Central US, and the clock shows 1 hour ahead as if I am in EST. Other than that, this version has everything I wanted, and I THANK YOU!!! Keep up the outstanding work you do...

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/16/08

I was unable to get MMS messages with verizon, however after some fiddling I changed the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader :

User-Agent= utstar69kv1 to User-Agent= utstar67kv1 (69 to 67)

Everything works perfect now (although not a fan of the arcsoft MMS).

If anyone with Verizon got GPS to work can you give me a heads up? GPSviewer finds the GPS on com 4, but when I open the GPS it never finds any sats.

Thanks OMJ! Awesome ROM.

hello all,
not a OMJ specific question, but just curious,
whats the difference between the Touch Keypad and Touch Keyboard, they look the exactly the same to me?

Also this TouchPal keyboard i heard great things about, but i am not sure how to use it efficiently. Anyone want to type quick how to for optimally making a simple sentence? not sure if i should hold down each key and then choose a letter or what. kinda confusing to first-time user of that keyboard.

I am OMJ's latest custom ROM for VZW and it is working very well. Initial acquire was about 10 minutes and is now about 1 minute after a reset in the morning. Accuracy is quite accurate. I am very happy to have this feature enabled by all of the great ROM work by everyone on this forum and especially OMJ for putting together some great ROMs for everyone's benefit. Thanks OMJ!

After a new rom is installed it can take a bit for the GPS to do an initial acquire. I would recommend that you be outside and let it acquire for as long as necessary. That can mean 5-10 minutes and it will seem like your watching the clock go in slow motion. Once it is done you should have 3+ locks. Now when you reset and start GPS Viewer it "should" be a fairly quick lock. Now, if you try to start inside your house or office it can take a while and may not happen at all. That is the nature if sat signals. They do not penetrate buildings or heavy overhead cover very well. Wood structures are not too bad but concrete and steel are difficult.

I would also enable WAAS for more accuracy. I have copied this from the Garmin site since I know many will ask WAAS what:

Wide Area Augmentation System

How it Works
WAAS consists of approximately 25 ground reference stations positioned across the United States that monitor GPS satellite data. Two master stations, located on either coast, collect data from the reference stations and create a GPS correction message. This correction accounts for GPS satellite orbit and clock drift plus signal delays caused by the atmosphere and ionosphere. The corrected differential message is then broadcast through one of two geostationary satellites, or satellites with a fixed position over the equator. The information is compatible with the basic GPS signal structure, which means any WAAS-enabled GPS receiver can read the signal.

Everyone should remember that GPS capable cell phones were not really designed to be like or have the reliability of standalone GPS units (as we can all see from the battery consumption rate). It is a nice feature that helps many of who need to get someplace and other information.

Sorry for the long'ish post but it is early Saturday and I have to go to work today.

yes....see if you get the same results w/ the leaked rom....though since you're w/ sprint, my custom rom, only adds the listed apps, and some regedits, but nothing camera related.

I took som e test pix this morning, see the attached SS.....my pix save to sd card (default) & I have pix on there going back to Jan....the image names still increment & open just fine.

2 regedits I have in my roms are time sync & set default time zone to EST.......to check go into phone options, services tab, then time sync settings, verify the box is checked....while you're there, click on the "clock & Alarms" link @ the bottom....verify your time zone is CST.....I verified I can change my CST & get CST time.

check their website, they have some demonstrations...it's pretty easy to use....as u type it will predict the word, once you see the word, just tap it & it will be inserted w/ a space, if the word is already highlighted, you can hit the space to insert it.

if you want a period, press & hold the "g h" button, then swipe down slightly, swipe up for a 8.

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/16/08

Hi,

Couple of questions, I've read through many pages of this thread, but it's pretty long.

1. Is it possible to uninstall apps from the customized Sprint ROM? None are listed in Add/Remove programs.

2. Is it possible to change Touchpal 3.0 to 2.0? I don't like the new version. I tried to install a different version and needed to do a hard reset after that.

Thanks for a great ROM

1. no, the apps are cooked into rom...it would be like flashing a sprint official rom and trying to uninstall IE or Outlook etc.....if there's something you want to remove from the programs folder, you can use total cmdr, go into \windows\start menu\programs & delete any shortcuts u dont want. they're just shortcuts, so the app is still there.

2. again, touchpal v3 is cooked into the rom, but i have heard reports of ppl, installing the touchpal v3 cab, rebooting, then uninstalling it, then install v2.....give it a try.

which version are you using now? if you flashed v2, you know by now that v2 included the stock HTC bootsplash w/o the test msg. so now that you have overwritten the bootsplash, it will stay until you flash a rom that has a different bootsplash included (like the leaked rom). I did not include the bootsplash in v3, so if you have the stock HTC bootsplash w/o test, you can flash v3 & it will still be there.

now, if you still have the TEST bootsplash, grab this file, extract, and flash.....it will only flash the boosplash, not the rom, but it will hard reset ya....now you can flash v3:

ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/OM...bootsplash.rar

GPS-Today is a free app....

Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/16/08

Hi, I'm new to all this ... but I'm a tech type person, I program stuff for the web. So I can at least follow instructions. I just know nothing about how it all works yet =) Been reading and sounds like there's been progress since many of the posts out there that say how to flash so some processes are better or outdated. Aside from everyone seemingly using Sprint.

Which do I use? I'm not looking to really out trick anything. Just simple Rev. A and GPS on a brand new Verizon Touch.

I don't want any Vista themes or anything crazy. I'm a designer too and I'll one day customize and make my own imagery/themes. I prefer clean things anyway and not all that bubbly stuff. I like htc's original graphics and style for their phones.

So would the "*Verizon Full Custom Version* " on the thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25335

be what I'm after? After unlocking with imcokman's v2.31 of course..?

Do I need to flash from microSD cards? Or can it be done from the PC via USB? I've read various things that still confuse me on that.

Are there any things to watch out for? Thanks.

I just want a clean phone with Rev. A and GPS on Verizon pretty much. I'd really be ok with waiting for Verizon to release patches, but I REALLY REALLY doubt they'll enable the GPS because, well, they like money. lol

Thanks everyone for their hard work!
