I just want a clean phone with Rev. A and GPS on Verizon pretty much. I'd really be ok with waiting for Verizon to release patches, but I REALLY REALLY doubt they'll enable the GPS because, well, they like money. lol

I like my roms to have a stock feel to them....I'm not really into "tricking" it out. My OEM versions are basically untouched, and the full custom version has all my fav apps & tweaks.

re-read post #1, after unlocking w/ 2.31, you MUST flash the leaked sprint rom 1st to upgrade your radio....soft reset b4 sprint customization happens....this is after calibrating the screen, etc.

I have never flashed from the sd....always USB/PC.

Any one else with activesync issues? Here is my problem. I can sync, tether, do everything norml like. But if I connect to my device with that desktop registry editor WinCERegeditor, or with that french theme generator program it will shut my device off and I have to soft reset.
I am using pdanet1.8, any known issues out there? I got vista on the laptop...I don't recall, was there a new winmo build this time around?

Edit: I even tried your rom unedited from the ftp same results...hmmm...

very nice thank you. worked like a charm. i'm now on sprint rom which i find very humorous on verizon... i skipped all the custom software and soft reset. started up again. device info gives me radio version 3.37.15 ... looking good. now to flash your verizon rom.

... on a side note, after unlocking with imcokeman's 2.31 unlocker there i setup windows and skipped installing custom stuff then as well and did a soft reset after calibration. I didn't know if that would mess things or not... i just remember everyone saying don't install sprint/alletel stuff on verizon phone. so i hope i didn't miss anything i needed. i assume flashing to the sprint rom wiped out anything i wouldve installed anyway and now going to verizon will wipe things out again anyway.

all worked ... ha but of course now i did some research and my akey is missing ... can't make calls i hope i dont have to be on another phone to put the akey back in ... else im screwed til monday.

...and 30 min later, called tech support (2nd tier) to get it to work again. course they didnt care to hear any of the akey info...and after i told them i did 228 both options..they did something there cuz they called me and it worked and i placed a call and it worked. .. they then called me back to ensure i could place calls lol. so nice of them. anyway. a pain i wont be going through again. im quite happy with your rom OMJ. Thanks!

Well, rstoyguy was on the right track.

I re-installed the leaked ROM only and tried it and the camera worked (But my HCSD card was not inserted since it interferes with the customization install).

I then re-installed the OMJ custom ROM and it worked (But then I noticed my HCSD card was still not inserted).

I then inserted my HCSD card and it failed. Seems that it doesn't like to save to this kind of card, any idea why and is there a fix?

I also noted one thing, I forgot to run the PPST after the leaked rom was installed and after customization ran but GPS is still working stable and reliable.

I think I did tell you guys that I tried the card and camera storage, I thought I did but obviously I didn't because it does work on the camera storage.

I was using version 1 until yesturday I updated to v2. I couldn't lock inside my appartment like I used to. So I tried flashing to stock rom and letting the customizations run and then reupdating to v2. That didn't help. Still don't get locks indoors like I used to with version 1. I ran the PPST update both times too. Weird..Still works outside fine so I won't mess with it anymore until something new comes about.

OMJ I just formatted my phone back to it's orignal settings. I can't make calls, text, etc...Can i unlock the phone using imcokeman's 2.31 unlocker or do i need to call vw first, have them unlock then use imcokeman's 2.31 unlocker? Thx

again great rom ... but i wont use all these programs... like the quickmenu, aebplus and what not. most everything else - great. but i guess because they were in the rom they aren't on the remove list for programs ... how would i get rid of them?

also on an interesting side note... i made a shortcut to opera mini and i thought it would be 0 (the first app i installed) but 0 launched some sprint software. 1 was opera mini for me (first one i installed). can't find the sprint software on the java menu ... where can i get rid of that?

nice rom took 2 tries to get in. Only complaint is the sprint music store... how do you remove completely and how to you get back in bells music store.... which is java... I tried to get in the jukebox.jad but it just wouldn't install.....

cool, glad everything went smooth......from what I've been reading, it sounds like most VZW users have to call support after flashing the 1st time, but only after the 1st flash, subsequent flashes did not need support.

cool....not sure if there's a fix out there, but what I would do is change the camera settings to save to the phone, then every once in awhile, move them to your sd card.

also, PPST shouldnt need to be run more than once, I could be wrong but I thought it was a one time run to upgrade the PRI.

sorry, but I dont know of a fix....I can duplicate this, but maybe it's intended ?? or maybe a conflict in 6.1, or just a bug.

I would recommend using the OEM version, then adding the apps you want. the apps that are cooked in the rom, can't be removed, but you can delete the shortcuts in the programs folder.

I dont know what you mean by 0 & 1, what are these shortcuts?

I dont think you would need call VZW again, from what I've read.

so i take it you're using a bell touch? I'm still working on correcting the music store, hopefully I'll have a v2 soon.
