Re: OMJ's WM6.1 Custom Touch ROM w/ UC, GPS, REV A! Updated 5/16/08

Hi, I'm new to all this ... but I'm a tech type person, I program stuff for the web. So I can at least follow instructions. I just know nothing about how it all works yet =) Been reading and sounds like there's been progress since many of the posts out there that say how to flash so some processes are better or outdated. Aside from everyone seemingly using Sprint.

Which do I use? I'm not looking to really out trick anything. Just simple Rev. A and GPS on a brand new Verizon Touch.

I don't want any Vista themes or anything crazy. I'm a designer too and I'll one day customize and make my own imagery/themes. I prefer clean things anyway and not all that bubbly stuff. I like htc's original graphics and style for their phones.

So would the "*Verizon Full Custom Version* " on the thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=25335

be what I'm after? After unlocking with imcokman's v2.31 of course..?

Do I need to flash from microSD cards? Or can it be done from the PC via USB? I've read various things that still confuse me on that.

Are there any things to watch out for? Thanks.

I just want a clean phone with Rev. A and GPS on Verizon pretty much. I'd really be ok with waiting for Verizon to release patches, but I REALLY REALLY doubt they'll enable the GPS because, well, they like money. lol

Thanks everyone for their hard work!
