Hello All,

I recently reflashed my verizon xv6900 with the instructions in the first post, it was pretty much painless. OMJ Verizon Full Custom Version is for lack of a better word "BadAss". Thanks OMJ!!!

Just one question, for the verizon people or anyone else that could shed some light on this issue, has anyone noticed that it takes awhile to send or receive calls after a soft-reset or battery removal. I know what your thinking and “Yes” the phone is completeIy booted up all the way up to the today screen. LOL I think the time delay is somewhere around 5 to 10 minutes? It's alittle wierd to say the least. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Once the radio is reflashed, it appears you need to enter an "akey" number. this is a 26 number generated by VzW that you enter into your phone to authenticate it. Call vzw (from a landline or 2nd phone) to ask for it. I had this issue---now I don't have it. It looks like you have to do this every time you change radios, but not reflashing ROMs in general.

mwfielder, i think you're misunderstanding him.

i have the same problem. i already got a different a-key from verizon, and I bet aaron did too. it just takes an extra long time to get back on the network but it does get back on.

thanks

But that was my issue. I could get back on the network, even activate my phone online and do the *228, option 1. All that would go through. But when I soft reset, bam..... searching for signal for about 20 min. Once I had signal, the phone worked fine.

I called up, got the akey, and now I haven't had that issue whatsoever. (This happened after I flashed a new radio.)

Mwfielder / Sanderz,

I did call Verizon after I finished flashing all the required ROMs. I got a new A-Key, and they worked with me to perform a manual provisioning of the device. However this only allowed my to get a signal after I entered it and the phone signal still lags after a soft-reset. Like Sanderz said, it takes around 20 minutes for a signal. I feel your pain Sanderz. Any other suggestions.

I am sure you have tried soft resets but also try to remove the battery for about a minute I have read this some where else and has worked for me a couple of time with different roms.

if you are using gps constantly i suggest you use omj's v1 w/ updated gps drivers. I have spuratic lockups and its doesn't work like it used to. But the rumor mill has it that sometime this month the new sprint rom will be released.

I removed the battery, waited a minute, and then put it back in. And so far, it has fixed the problem!! When I soft reset, it immediately picks up the signal. We'll see if it keeps this up.

Thanks to Formula84 for the inspiration!
