so if i understand correctly,

1. i DO NOT have to flash back to the Stock Sprint ROM before i run the unlocker
2. although my device was unlocked to load a 6.1 ROM, i CAN still run the new 2.31 unlocker
3. QUESTION: would the experts advise that this process be run on an XP computer vs. Vista.

is there any other reason why the thread is labeled for sprint. instead of for all? other then the fact that you have tested it on sprint... im jus really contemplating if i should try to flash it with my vzw 6900 or not

ImCokeMan warns that if your provider does not have an executable stock ROM that you may not be able to run any ROM ever again.

WARNING: These carrier shipped EXE roms will include a stock bootloader and "relock" the phone. I suggest nobody should use shipped carrier exe roms from a different carrier as if it gets interrupted and your carrier doesn't have a shipped exe you might not be able to flash ANY rom.

Right now Verizon does not have one. That's why you shouldn't just yet.

You do not need a stock Sprint ROM first, I ran the unlocker while using Ghetto's 6.1 ROM.

You MUST run the 2.31 unlocker, otherwise you will brick your phone.

I did it with Vista last night and on XP this morning, so I don't think it matters. On Vista, just make sure you have the 6.1 version of the mobile device center.
