How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

Can anyone verify if this tricks works on a telus phone?

also from what I see this is flashing my phone? so if something goes wrong, which there is a possibility its pretty much over?

I went here and got it from HTC.

works like a champ, and you dont have to install unlockers or any thing else.
Now to check settings:
Just save all your info via active sync or mobile device manager
Then:
- Go to Start > Settings > Personal > Phone > Services > Location Settings > Make sure its set to ON.
- Start > Settings > System > GPS > GPS Program Port is 4, Hardware Port is None, Baud Rate is 4800, Access is set to automatically.

I used google maps to verify GPS is working and all phone features work 100%.

PLEASE HELP, I need to get the sprint rom back on my HTC touch and start over. Like a dumb a$$ I didn't reboot my phone when i should have and lost internet.
Can someone tell where to download the sprint rom. The HTC site is not allowing the download for the USA.

I would like to know for sure that someone other than the "True Geeks" have gotten this to successfully add gps and rev/a to their phones. I have not seen any of the post above mention that they have the gps working in a Sprint Touch/Vogue

i wouldnt consider myself a true geek (ive got no idea whats going on, but i can follow directions!) and have it up and running on my sprint touch. i did have to uninstall and reinstall the gps cab to get that working, but i was able to unlock, flash, flash again (make sure you restart before it starts to run customizations!) install the unlocking files and install the gps without any isses

I just did this last night and it worked. Took me about 30 minutes total to get it up and running. I have never worked with ROM so it was my first time. A lot easier then I thought. I was using sprint nav today and it worked like a charm. I'm just having to get use to me phone saying Alltel when during start up.
