ok thanks for the help but i did read the directions right from the post the reason i had problems was my piece of crap computer kept loosing usb conection but got it to flash rom and am now installing gps files and cab honestly im not that stupid

Aright well I'm glad you figured it out. I was just wondering if somehow you were following directions different than the one i had been pointing out to you. I didn't mean to be rude... I was more concerned that you were actually going to brick it cause you weren't sure what you were doing. I'm sure there's a bunch of people on very little sleep around here today so I just wanted to make sure you had it all together.. I'm pretty sleep deprived myself. I probably should take a break from this I've been screwing around all day.

all this stuff works..ive got the new alltel rom and gps up and running...the fix location is almost perfect...btw way im using an alltel phone and alltel service.. thanks to everyone.

You can also download holux gps viewer and it gives you satellites so you can tell whether or not you are receiving a gps signal

you werent supposed to let the extended rom run...the cuztomation where you see 3 seconds soft reset right when it pops up

heh I bet Sprint releases their update on Monday, and it will be another day like this

Damn its taken me forever to get everything back installed.
