You shouldn't be in trouble. Try the instructions in this thread here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=24906, and you should be able to proceed with the flashing. Hope it helps.

Re: Stuck at bootloader screen

Well I guess I will have to get another
phone through the insurance but first when
I get home today I will have to destroy
it someway that they wont see the boot screen
as soon as they recieve it. I am pretty sure
that the insurance wont credit it
if its shows that I was unlocking it for
Flashing.

Anybody gotten a refurbished touch ?
Are they any good ?

Re: Stuck at bootloader screen

You could also try reflashing the 2.31 unlocker again (be sure to follow the instructions to the T!) and see if that works for you. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=20370 this thread has the unlocker you need. Activesync should still connect and so should the unlocker. Hope it helps. Don't give up yet!

Re: Stuck at bootloader screen

I appreciate all your efforts but I think I done everything possible to save this phone.
The suggestions you guys have given me I know are with good intent to help but have not worked. I ran every unlocker and rom I could find and no luck. I think its time to let go and say goodbye.

I called the insurance just a few hours ago and told them the phone fell in water
and it wont turn on. I did not want to report it lost or stolen because The last time I said that, they made me get a police report and I didnt want to go through that hassle again. They said I have to send in the damage phone and I think there going to notice what I was doing before I bricked it.

Unfortunatly I should have said something else besides water beacuse I have had the phone in a bucket of water for 2 hours now and I pulled it out and it wont die.
I put the battery back in and I still get the bootloader screen.

Im going to put it freezer (in the bowl of water) to see if I can kill it.

Believe me it wasn't and easy decision and I know I will be criticized or for it.

This is a thread for you if you are bent on destroying it. I would have bought it from you for the cost of your ins deductable though if it had gotten "lost"

The $50.00 would have been nice. I am already regreting destroying it but I just got so pissed off at myself for screwing up the rom flash and I probally gave up to soon and sometimes people dont make good decisions when there upset
about screwing up something they done before with ease.

Re: Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

I'm getting my Touch today, and have a few questions (I searched, but figured I'd ask them all in one post), hopefully someone can answer them for me real fast, if possible.

First - Do I need to use the unlocker to flash the "test sprint rom" (ive read that you need to use the unlocker, period, and Ive also read that you "may not need to if you have sprint").

Second, will the unlocker work in vista (i have 32 bit vista, and 64 bit vista, on two different machines, so knowing which one it may or may not work on will help me so I can have the machine I'll be using ready to go).

Lastly, in regards to re-locking (I know with the mogul you "cant" relock it once you're using a gps radio, or what not), but is there a way to re-lock the touch if needed for warranty work (i know i saw a few posts about it, but was also unclear).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: Ok well I ran it (without a touch connected, since I dont have it yet) and I guess it won't work in 64 bit (unless someone has a way to make it work). If so, please let me know. As far as the other two questions. Maybe someone can help with those.

Angry Re: Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

Help me. I got a problem while following it.

When I see this:
"Your device should now be in 3 color screen showing the Soft bootloader
You must now disconnect and reconnect the device from your PC
"

I did disconnect and reconnect, but ActiveSync doesn't show connected.
What could be wrong here?

Then Rom Upgrade Utility is launched, and I cannot see the current version number. Blindly flash it and it only takes less than 1 minutes to reach 100%. After hard reboot, it's still the factory ROM.

or

connect to activesync with device and run .bat file follow everything on the screen to the T and all will go well.
