Unlockers for Custom Roms on Vogue 2.31(GPS) and 0.40(nonGPS)

You need to flash the new roms and radio.

Thank you Colonel for your diligent and brave testing while my vogue was bricked!
WARNING: this will only work with the 3.xx roms (Alltel EXE only at this point) and may not allow older roms. It will not be overwritten like the 0.40 SPL however so it won't leave you completely bricked like running the alltel exe was doing before this.

BTW: This is an MFG SPL and after flashing the alltel exe you can do SuperCID with rtask a like titan




P.S. Let's try to keep this thread on topic. The hard-SPL thread in the titan forum got a bit out of hand. If you have questions about making custom roms, tools (same as titan), boot screens etc. please use a different thread.

Coke, this is named MFG.. Does that mean it is like the MFG bootloader on the Mogul, takes rtask cmds?

I didn't see the fine print after the BTW.. Was just too excited.. lol

I don't think I was clear - It's booting back into the stock ROM, running through the customizations, etc. The on/off stuff is happening after it's completely booted back up and running.

I need to load the stock rom over that as well, even with just changing the bootloader? I realize that's the goal of this exercise and I'll get there soon enough, I'm just making sure I understand all the steps involved.

I'm having trouble...I ran the unlocker, it went to the tri-color screen, I tried to flash the Alltel rom, it failed, said my device ID didn't match, and now my phone hangs at the windows boot splash. If I go back into the bootloader, it says version 2.00 and not 2.31, but I used the 2.31 unlocker. No idea where I went wrong, I had the .40 version before.

Edit: it says "VOGU MFG, SPL-2.01.1000, CPLD-3", also windows says my device has malfunctioned and can't recognize it.

I'm in the same boat.

Is there a way to undo the unlocker to verify if it's the problem here?

I understand perfectly. The new SPL is affecting you phone. You will need to flash a rom designed for the new SPL and radio. This will fix this problem.

After reading some other posts, it looks like the unlocker didn't actually finish, since my bootloader doesn't say Coke. Am I stuck, should I get my phone replaced, or do I have a slimmer of hope?

More than likely you did not run the unlocker correctly or run the correct unlocker. The 2.31 unlocker will not allow overwriting.

Right, I think I didn't run it correctly....but is there a fix for this if I can't boot into the OS?
