Asurion replacing TP with TP2

just got a TP2 from asurion. chatted online with sprint customer service and told them about all my replacements and repairs and how i need to go get the keyboard fixed again after just having a new one put in on monday. they told me to upgrade and I told them i love this phone. so they said to do an insurance claim. i said i didnt think i should not have to pay for a replacement for defective devices. they said let them check available options and then they said that they will pay the 100 dollar deductible! So i called asurion and they only offered me a palm pre. said no. hung up and went online and made a claim and got the TP2! Only problem is i gotta fill out a stupid affidavid with and fax it with a copy of my id. pretty gay. so i will do it tomorrow at work and then call and make sure i get my TP2 and not a palm pre.

Just called asurion directly and they replaced my tp with tp2. Been trying for awhile, but today was lucky. Hurry and hopefully they are doing it for all cases.

anyone claim a diamond recently?
mines fugged up...i dont want to claim and get another diamond. id rather buy a touch pro from cl for 125 and then claim that to get tp2...
if anyone claimed a diamond and got an upgrade let me know

Grrrr...

Had my TP for just over a year and the USB charging port quit. No way to fix. Went to two different Sprint stores, each of them an hour south of where I live (they are the closest). Couldn't replace with another TP as none available. They checked all the local stores, none. To their credit, the rep tried his best to get Telesales/Asurion to authorise a replacement at the store with a TP 2 but was told in so many ways that couldn 't be done due to some technicality, even though the folks on the other end agreed that would make more sense. Called Asurion and they replaced with a REFURBISHED TP plus charged me the $100 deductible.

What a rip.

u guys called in or did it online? if u called in, have u checked if they offer same thing online? it may be different just in case

i called and used the website. only if my phone could last one more month but i wasnt lucky it died on friday =( so i will get a ups package tuesday i wonder if they would give me a tp2 for all my trouble hahaha

you can check on ausurions website..phoneclaim.com and make the claim and before you process it you will see what the replacement is going to be,so you can say yes and get that phone or wait 2 or 3 days and checked what phone is there now(on the claim)..i got my tp2 like that...
