Well, I was really excited to get the Fedex package yesterday only to see that they sent a Tp not the TP2. I was (needless to say) pissed. Called Assurion, really nicely explained the situation. I was told that there's nothing in the system that shows I was going to get a TP2 and that since I have a TP that's all they could send me. After some nice talk about how I wouldn't get a replacement of the same crappy phone and how I WAS promised a TP2 since the TP wasn't in stock she connected me to a "fullfillment specialist" or something like that and told me it was up to him if we would do it.
Long story short, after being super nice, he overnighted a TP2 which is charging at home right now. Thanks everyone, now I'm off to wait for the unlocker! |

HOW I GOT MY TOUCH PRO 2:
I just called the Asurion number with the following complaints: For the past 3 or 4 weeks I have been having trouble with my Touch Pro. It keeps randomly powering off very often, it has overheated a lot, theres a thick multicolored line at the top of the screen (prolly 3 or 2 pixels in width going from left to right). I explained to him this was my second Touch Pro and that I didnt know anything about the protection plan and ive never done a claim before and him to explain the process to me. He asked if there were any scratches, if I dropped it, or if there was any liquid damage. I told him no, it was in perfect condition plus normal wear and tear. He said that was fine, that I qualified for a replacement phone (he said that if you have any scratches, dropped it, or liquid damage it wouldnt have been replaced so theres a tip guys!). I told him this was my second Touch Pro, and that I was very unhappy with it and was wondering if there was some other type of phone with a keyboard available. He said he would check, and said, "well theres the new Touch Pro2 available or the blackberry curve or HTC snap". I casually over a minute or so talked each choice out with him and told him that the Pro2 sounded to be what I wanted and that I hoped it didn't have as many downsides as the Touch Pro. He said he would overnight it for free, and add the $100 deductible to my next months bill! He offered a brand new Touch Pro2 with charger and everything brand new! So if you are lucky and get the right person, you should be able to pull it off just like I did. I will let you know how it arrives! Im very excited especially after reading that in the last few days they were out of stock? Maybe they just got in another shipment or something?

I am still having no luck. I called Asurion and explained to them that this is my 3rd TP and not even a two weeks after I got it, the screen went dead and now it won't charge either. Then I asked them about replacing it and they told me that they only handle the insurance, they don't deal with replacements.............."What?" I have tried talking to Sprint and HTC as well and all I get is the run around and told to call someone else.
