Jus got off phone with Asurion, & all they offered me was a Treo Pro or BB Tour, which of course I turned down lol, & she mentioned nothing about the TP2 either

you might have waited too long...did you ask for the supervisor?
did you make your case that those phones don't have xx, xx, and xx but
that the tp2 is in fact the comparable or better phone. that those other phones are down grades?

have at it again and ask for supervisor this time and be ready to make your case.
stand your ground but as said before you might have waited too long...now they could be out of tp2 too or expecting tp1 from those that switch to tp2 LMAO.

one thing I know is when the internet spreads the hot potato news you better be ready to grab it ASAP, or you will find yourself SOL.

and that's the way the cookie crumbles...

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

My wife tried and they are in fact out of stock on the TP2. She will have to wait for the next round. We both have legit keyboard issues.

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

Getting the replacement from Asurion for Verizon was practically murder. I was at about L2 or L3 management before they would approve the TP2. Just need to stand your ground and not take no for an answer.

I'm not too worried about it because I originally planned on waiting for the Leo, but would've been nice to get a TP2 for a 100 bucks lol

Re: Asurion replacing TP with TP2

This is 100% CONFIRMED!!!!!!

I just got off the phone with Asurion Tech Support (Supervisor).
Basically I had a Touch Pro replaced by them back in July, and I can't file any more claims this year. The screen on my touch pro is screwed up, and they were going to replace it with another Touch Pro for free under their warranty. I said that this would not work for me, and I wanted a comperable device. I was given the list of usual BS lesser devices. Eventually they got me to tech support supervisor who said he would authorize the replacement but that it is not their usual policy to do so! However, he did say it was on backorder, so it's going to take me 5 business days to get it. WIN!

"Call now, it's not like we can do this all day" - ShamWOW guy. LOL

So does anybody know how long you have to have a phone on your account before you can file an insurance claim?

You know I did the same thing. I took the Tour yesterday as a replacement from advance exchange. I was going to sell it and buy a TP2 on eBay. I even bid $420 on a TP2 and then right after saw this thread. Somehow I got outbid on eBay and immediately filed a claim with Asurion and got a TP2. After filing I called sprint and cancelled my Tour replacement phone. They have already sent it out but my wife is going to refuse it today. TP2 will be here tomorrow. Can't wait. I have been without a keyboard for 12 days. Asurion is crazy though. I filed my claim last night and the arrival scan at ups was just a few hours later...pretty impressive....
