just got my replacement tp2. they sent me a nib tp2. the tp2 that i got replace last week was a refurb. so i guess the guys that have got there tp1's replaced with refurb tp2's find a reason to replace them and get nib tp2. then there will also be phones available for the others who are tryin to swap there tp1 still. (if any of the makes sense)

was there a problem with the first tp2? or did sprint give you a new one and take back the refurb because they are nice guys?

The TP2 is on both lists: refurb for Priority 4, NIB for Priority 5. But the REFURB TP2's are almost always out of stock at this point. If you are told the TP2 is no longer on the list, it probably means someone looked at their screen and saw "No" beside the TP2 refurb entry. But this can also mean it's just out of stock.

Ignorance and negligence on the part of Sprint employees are the two reasons you might not have luck getting a TP2. Ignorance of what Sprint's policy is supposed to be, or negligence to execute it.

It is also Sprint's policy now to ONLY do exchanges at a store. They want the device to be inspected before they'll send you a replacement. I also suspect an ASC can only do Priority 4 without approval from their SRSS, and that corporate stores don't have such a restriction.

i know in my case, when the tech proclaimed my tp dead and that i would need a new one, she asked would i want a tp2 if available. she checked on her computer screen and it allowed her to place the order. not sure whether it had to be approved by anyone.

Did you call them? or online? Please explain more. We tried to get one swapped by them on Sunday but all they offered was a refurb TP.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

Just complained at sprints customers service(*2) about my local sprint repair store wanting to replace my touch pro with either a palm pre, curve, blackberry, or a snap. I told them none of those was comparable to the touch pro. They escalated my issue to a manager and said I will be contacted within a day.

I never got contacted but I received an email saying that im getting a package from sprint labeled "HTC T7380 WM PDA". What are they sending me? Another touch pro?

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

Tried to get a TP2 for my semi-functioning TP last night from Sprint.
They offered me a Pre, BB, Snap, or another TP.
When I asked about the TP2, the "retention manager" said the're out of stock. Said everyone seems to be returning their TP for a 2, and I should try again in a few days. 8(
