Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
The two touch pros we received via advanced exchange had some severe issues (even though, as near as I can tell, they were in remarkable condition):
Touch Pro #1: Got EXTREMELY hot with only begin plugged in to charge and watching a video via the youtube application. (Also, a few keys on the keyboard work sporadically) Touch Pro #2: Problems with calls, receiving text messages, and data simply not working AT ALL. Used advanced exchange again tonight to request new TPs. Michael |

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
I'm done with Sprint. Pre-ordering Droid tomorrow.
They went back on their multiple promises to me. Offer me the device in writing, tell me I can't have it, then promise me it will be ordered and shipped that day, then next day be told it can't be done. Games, games, games. After 15 hours in one day of waiting on them, dealing with them, being on hold, and going through hell I get screwed over. The so called "value" isn't worth it anymore, especially when your phone won't make phone calls! I'm guessing it is the people who broke their phones on purpose that caused this issue. I don't care, it's really not fair for Sprint to make multiple promises and go back on them no matter the situation. Their customer service is really bad, just wish I had caught it earlier. Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
Took my Pro in to our local repair store in Lynchburg, VA yesterday was offered anything but the TP2. Even the new samsung phone or the Hero. Have another Touch Pro on the way.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
SO I had my TP replaced about a month ago, well actually two days aftetr this thread started, because the screen went out. They ordered me a refurb TP. I tried to get them to swap but no luck. This was at a corp store here in the Nashville area. I then tried a third party store and they could nto get in to order anything because I guess the corp store already had. SO I picked up the refurb. Three or four days ago the D-pad started peeling off. I stopped by this morning to have them check on it. I was waiting and the tech guy just walked up and handed me a nother phone. I guess they had refurb TP in stock so I got another one. I messed with it for a minute and then left. I get to work and try to turn the volume down and the rocker doesnt work. You ahve to push it in just the right location for it to change the ring volume. SO I guess i will see how long this one lasts. maybe it jsut needs to be broken in a little. The corp store never even offered swapping to another phone.

Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!
So I take it by reading this thread that I should go to a 3rd party store to have a chance at getting a TP2 instead of a TP. I am currently in Manhattan KS (66506) and was wondering if there was anyone with any recommendations of a store to visit here.
I did a store locator search on sprint.com and it came up with 2 stores. 1. Sprint Store By Wireless Lifestyle 2. Sprint Store Would the 1st store be a better choice even though on sprints website it doesn't have "repair"? The second store has "# Replacements (by mail)" |
