Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

Thought this morning I talked to my store and I talked to the manager and this is what he thinks. that the sales on the TP2 weren't great so they are going to discontinue it because they have "tarnished" the name of TouchPro on sprint after the original had so many problems. So he said he thinks that they won't be getting any refurbs in at all, except for the people who already have them that will bring them back...

Don't believe him at all, I think they're just trying to get me to switch now, so I won't get the TP2, maybe higher ups have told store managers to get people onto the other replacements now, and later they'll finally say they have TP2 refurbs again after majority has already swtiched therefore not able to get the TP2.

I don't think the people in store have any idea about this TP2 inventory problem. They're guessing just as much as us probably.

Either way, I'm probably just gonna wait it out, maybe just get another TP1 in the meantime. We'll see.

well i dont know.... it seems like they are reluctant about the touch pro2, they are not ever going to release it in stores.... i wonder why. they say its a business phone, so that's why. so maybe they rushed to release it to satisfy there business customers. But i wonder why they would discontinue it? is is flawed? maybe its not selling well. But even if its not selling well, how is it going to sell well if normal people dont even know its out, since its not even in stores.

But i dont know..... its a great phone thou...

Just back from sprint with my NIB TP2. Went in with issues Fri afternoon... had it delivered today.

Off to the TP2 forum. It's been fun here...

One thing to think about when you are checking if the phone is still OOS is there are probably multiple warehouse locations. Just because someone in tghe Nashville area is able to get one doesn't mean someone in Boise will be able to. SO for all of the people saying there needs to be an update everyday it may not be beneficial for everyone. Just a thought.

Well, here's my latest situation. I called every sprint store within 50 miles, nobody could give me a TP2, so I called Sprint. I spent an hour on the phone with them, spoke with 3 very nice, sympathetic, helpful reps, who escalated my call to top priority. They offered me the same models as the stores did, but no TP2. The last guy I talked to said his supervisor just wouldn't let him do it & he felt really bad. He said it sucks cause the TP2 USED to be on the exchange list, but so many people snapped them up that they ran out within days & it cost them a lot of money, which is why sprint took it off the list. He said he has a TP2 & loves it, and told me to just upgrade another account on my line on the sprint website & when the phone gets here, just activate it on my line. Which I just did, cause I can't wait any longer. If I hadn't just sold my old car & therefore had some extra $$$ laying around, I probably would've just sucked it up & taken another refurb.

So I'm out some moolah, but my NIB TP2 is on the way. Plus this way I can sell the old TP for $200(I already have a buyer too lol), so I guess it's kind of a success :/

I talked to a repair center today tp2 is still on the list just out of stock. im giving it till my keyboard completely dies then ill suck it up and take another refurb.... 2 refurbs in one week. this wouldn't be such an issue if they would just fix the damn phones when people send them in instead of just sending them back out!

yeah the keyboards suck in the tp's i had to replace 2 already im waiting for this one to die to get a tp2

would actually like to get the pre or the hero but sprint will not allow it fopr the older sero plans

just keep taking your broken ones back or even speed up the breaking process then the tech will order you the next model up sooner or later. The reps have beenm told that WEL list has to have 3 replacements in 6 months or less this is what i have been told by many people that work there.
