My Story so far, I paid full price for a TP at the corp. Sprint store. Switched out one paying the $100 deductible through Asurion, then got that one replaced a few times, I'm on my 5th TPro.

Sprint phone tech told me that Sprint is phasing out the TP because of numerous complaints and returns on the unit. She offered me a Treo, BB, Pre or another TP. I told her why would she offer my another TP knowing that Sprint was phasing them out.. She says that she processed the oder and I would receive my replacement TP in a few days.. I ask to cancel that order, she says she can't once she has already made the ticket...

In the conversation she also tells me she has had to do this a few times and has been able to offer a TP2 as a replacement, but there weren't any in stock.. She tells me just to refuse the shippment, that since it was the 3rd replacement in 6 months, I had to go to a corp. store now to get an exchange. To check and see with them if they had anything else to offer..

Went to the store, told them this, gave them my phone to have it checked, 2 hours waiting later.. The manager sees me still waiting and asks the tech where is my phone, he tells him oh.. I already ordered him a replacement.. I'm like ah ok cool.. What you order? ... He says, another TP..

I ask the manager, humm what happen to what we just talked about, why are they just doing what the phone tech did? The tech says I tried to see if I could get you a TP2 but they are still not in stock at the wherehouse. That I would just have to call everyday and ask until there is one available...

Finally after a week of that I go to the store again and talk to the same manager, goes up to the tech and mumbles something, she tells him there is one in the back.. he leaves comes back 20mins later.. Apologizes for the wait.
Tells me he spoke with his manager and that he was gonna take my name andn umber down and they would get back to me when they order me a replacement, that his manager checks every day and will let me know.

A week passes, I spoke with his manager this time and told him this and asked what's the progress.. He tells me the store is real busy and that he would give me a call back later that day... Next day I call. Both are out, so that manager takes my number and tells me he'd leave it for them to see on their desk the next day..

Well I call back next day (patient eh?). I speak with the "store" manager again. He checks my account and goes into the full history of phones, interrogating me about each (Crentro, 6700x3, Treo 700W, flip, Vogue, 6800x3, Diamond, TP x4 & Moment). I tell him I like gadgets and like to have the latest phones..

He asks have these all been free upgrades, I tell him nope.. ALL bought. At the end he says that he will offer me a courtesy exchange/upgrade to a TP2, but it still isn't in stock and that I would have to call him every day and ask..

Told him ok will do... sigh (I've not had solid working internet since 02/2008 always an excuse of towers, network etc.. didn't mind since I was on SERO, but since I had switch plans to get the Moment, I now pay twice as much for less than half the service..)

Wish me luck... lol

P.S. Moment's proximity sensor is quite annoying, everything else about the phone is top notch, but alas enough that it wasn't worth the $300.

Shipping weight was 1.05lbs. Usually when Asurian sends out refurbs, it will come in Asurian box / packaging. I know mine was NIB because it came in a sprint touch pro 2 box, includes manual, extra stylus, charger, battery. Everything was bagged up and sealed. The phone was in a bag that was sealed with that sticker that once you unseal, it will say "void" on the sticker.

this was my story but i had 9. try different stores or reps, i'm starting to think that some of the reps are saying anything to get people to NOT get a tp2. but it is up to the store or rep, so be nice! hopefully, they didn't put anything bad notes on you.

Aright, i need HELP! so i go to the Store because my TP failed on me (stuck in landscape and keyboard not working). When i got there, they said that they'll have a look at it, and to return in 30 min. So i did... when i returned they told me that they marked it as water damage and that i have to call the insurance company and make a claim! This is b.s. though because i have never dropped it in water or anything, and it failed after an overheat freezing by charging... so wtf?! is there anything i can do about this? or am i pretty much screwed cause they labeled it as water damage??

My original weight said 1 lb / .5 kg. When I looked at the updated tracking this morning Fdx revised it to 2lbs. Once I saw that I knew what was coming..BNIB..sure enough, that is what it was.

crap guys my touch pro finally failed me i took it to the sprint store the ringer is not working even though it's on all the way come back after an hour and they tell me it has water damage and that Asurion will be responsible for a replacement this time they gave me a Asurion card to call.

the girl at sprint store told me the USB port was green = water damage is this true

got home did the online claim but got offered a "Palm pre"
i press the Hell no option which ask me to call in


I gave Asurion a call talk to a girl and i told her my story she again offered me palm pre told her i required a windows mobile phone for work she ask me to give her few seconds while she goes read her specs she then comes back and tells me that WebOS = windows mobile lol told her that i need to speak to some one else she transfer me to a guy who knew what he was talking he offered me.

samsung intrepid

htc touch diamond ( " no keyboard but just like touch pro")

treo 850 pro


well short story short i told him that i need time to think about it and that I will have to call back.

no touch pro 2 for me i think i rather take Palm pre then the above ??

I take it your water damaged stickers were just fine before you took it in?

ask them to take it apart in front of you and show you where the water damage is. tell them what you just said, "I have never dropped it in ....and so on and so on." ask that they fix it or replace the phone with a working tp1, they might bump you to a tp2 for your troubles, that's a big might.

if all else fail you can now do a claim phoneclaim.com online and file a claim through Asurion and get a tp2. the model should be 7380 for the touch pro 2, any thing else you will get another tp1.

do this today or tomorrow, let them know you are missing important phone calls and what have you, make it urgently known that you need a fixed phone asap.

Well i did tell them that, but the woman was just stubborn and kept telling me to take it up with the insurance company, so i left...

yeah the stickers are perfectly fine.. but ok, i'll head back.. now should i go to the same store, or try a different one and if they find out that i was at another one and ask me why, i'll tell them that i wanted a second opinion and that the first store was acting up
