My Story so far, I paid full price for a TP at the corp. Sprint store. Switched out one paying the $100 deductible through Asurion, then got that one replaced a few times, I'm on my 5th TPro.
Sprint phone tech told me that Sprint is phasing out the TP because of numerous complaints and returns on the unit. She offered me a Treo, BB, Pre or another TP. I told her why would she offer my another TP knowing that Sprint was phasing them out.. She says that she processed the oder and I would receive my replacement TP in a few days..

I ask to cancel that order, she says she can't once she has already made the ticket...
In the conversation she also tells me she has had to do this a few times and has been able to offer a TP2 as a replacement, but there weren't any in stock..

She tells me just to refuse the shippment, that since it was the 3rd replacement in 6 months, I had to go to a corp. store now to get an exchange. To check and see with them if they had anything else to offer..
Went to the store, told them this, gave them my phone to have it checked, 2 hours waiting later.. The manager sees me still waiting and asks the tech where is my phone, he tells him oh.. I already ordered him a replacement.. I'm like ah ok cool.. What you order? ... He says, another TP..
I ask the manager, humm what happen to what we just talked about, why are they just doing what the phone tech did? The tech says I tried to see if I could get you a TP2 but they are still not in stock at the wherehouse. That I would just have to call everyday and ask until there is one available...
Finally after a week of that I go to the store again and talk to the same manager, goes up to the tech and mumbles something, she tells him there is one in the back.. he leaves comes back 20mins later.. Apologizes for the wait.
Tells me he spoke with his manager and that he was gonna take my name andn umber down and they would get back to me when they order me a replacement, that his manager checks every day and will let me know.
A week passes, I spoke with his manager this time and told him this and asked what's the progress.. He tells me the store is real busy and that he would give me a call back later that day... Next day I call. Both are out, so that manager takes my number and tells me he'd leave it for them to see on their desk the next day..
Well I call back next day (patient eh?). I speak with the "store" manager again. He checks my account and goes into the full history of phones, interrogating me about each (Crentro, 6700x3, Treo 700W, flip, Vogue, 6800x3, Diamond, TP x4 & Moment). I tell him I like gadgets and like to have the latest phones..
He asks have these all been free upgrades, I tell him nope.. ALL bought. At the end he says that he will offer me a courtesy exchange/upgrade to a TP2, but it still isn't in stock and that I would have to call him every day and ask..
Told him ok will do... sigh (I've not had solid working internet since 02/2008 always an excuse of towers, network etc.. didn't mind since I was on SERO, but since I had switch plans to get the Moment, I now pay twice as much for less than half the service..)

P.S. Moment's proximity sensor is quite annoying, everything else about the phone is top notch, but alas enough that it wasn't worth the $300.
