I think someone earlier posted they were able to negotiate a TP2 for that same reason. They were replacing your phone with an "inferior" version...

I had 3 replacements w/o HTC on it and I got one that said HTC. They felt the same to me, but obviously I kept the one that said HTC :P
I did read that someone's refurbed back panel was peeling although I've never had a problem.

anyone have any info on this?
My original (purchased on release day) had a matte finish and out of the 4 refurbished phones I had, only 1 had the shiny keyboard... i hated that one.

BTW, my refurbishment date is 8/20 and the phone had 2 minutes of calls. Do you have the squeaky back cover or a yellow tinted screen on your refurbed unit? Both things are bothering me, but idk if they'll replace a phone for that.

the back was squeaky on the last two i had but not this latest one.
and i'm colorblind but the wife says that the screen doesn't have a yellow tint, so that's good too

Re: Replacement Woes

My phone is slowly but surely breaking down. Its starting to freeze alot and my D-Pad dont always work so no zoom nor light up when touched. If only Samsung made a 5 row qwerty kb windows phone I would leave Htc in a second.

Wondering since I bought my htc pro sprint phone from a former sprint customer and have it flashed to metropcs......Its only a month old going back to the original owners activation date....If i start having problems? which i currently do not ...does the phone have a factory warranty for repair or replacement? Or am I sol...just a thought?

You're pretty much SOL. I had this problem with a Mogul I had flashed to cricket... had to send the phone directly to HTC since I wasn't a sprint customer, and after a solid month with the phone, HTC refused warranty service.

TP Replacement (No, not for a TP2).

I am still on my first TP. I have had it since March and it has always worked fine. I've dropped it a few times on the pavement, and it's fallen out of that Velcro pouch HTC provides as well. So, to say the least it is pretty beaten up and the chrome is scratched all to hell. Not to mention some pretty significant dents. Recently, a few of keys on the keyboard have died. Honestly, I have not dropped it now in a couple of months. What is my best bet in replacing the phone through Sprint without paying anything to anyone? I am not looking for a TP2, just a TP.

Thanks.
