hey boredandtatooed wmiwifi question

Is it worth hunting down the wmwifi free version, and/or does the paid version also support using a usb cable as i dont want the phone to get quite hot from the radio being on and the wifi and start encountering kb issues.

Also ICS is the easiest way to use it wired with usb correct?

Thanks,
Dee

noone will fault you for taking the free version... theres is also a free 21day trial on the licensed version fyi.. yes, the paid version supports Wifi to USB.. im actually using that feature as i type this..

ICS,especially on the 6.5 ROms, def is the easiest setup to get online via usb... WMwifi takes a sec for the UI to load up..

Re: [new edits]So You Want To Use Your TP As A Modem??? Here Ya Go!! Your Main Option

i tried silence the way you described and itit gave a error 67, i soft reset it and it still gave a issue.

I installed wmiwifi and i installed sprint tether cab hack i found, but in wmiwifi it says Data or phone as modem. i know pam is a big nono so i chose data and surprised because the hack i thought would show sprint there.

I was quite surprised the internet sharing throught direct usb didnt work after soft resetting any dieas?

dee

Re: [new edits]So You Want To Use Your TP As A Modem??? Here Ya Go!! Your Main Option

I use a custom ROM and connect without issue. However, my kid brother does not want to bother with changing his ROM. I did the cab install, reset and get the default IP 169.xxx.xxx.xxx. Any ideas?
