Re: What ROM are you running and why?
I thought I was the only one left running stock. I am curious about 6.5 and tf3d2 but until I hear that something REALLY stable that works with all the sock sprint stuff is out I won't take that plunge.

Re: What ROM are you running and why?
when you say there is no TF3D, then that means there's no "finger scrolling" or touch screen capability? Does that mean there's a different method to maneuver through screens, etc?

Re: What ROM are you running and why?
I just cooked my first recently...and I have to say...its a lot more simple than it sounds. But first ROMs...I ran two different ROMs for sometime...I started with Y4J's Clean ROM's...lovely, fast, clean, and stable. Then I switched to KK's loaded...from 1.5 to 2.0. His ROM's are truly LOADED...but still fast and stable.
Now, I have that happy medium of cooking my own. Two kitchens that I found easy and simple to use. Calkulin's and eRice's. cooking a ROM is pretty simple. both these kitchens has step by step prompts. You get to pick the "programs" / OEM's cooked into the ROM. Download a kitchen and just check it out without burning the ROM onto your phone...you'll see TouchFlo 3D (TF3D) is the User Interface that HTC put ON TOP of Windows Mobile 6.1. There are plenty of other different kinds of interface out there...SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 to name one. It's just different ways to interface(act) with your device. Most of these UI apps out there are finger scolling friendly. Windows Mobile 6.5 (the "upgrade" to the current O/S) has a finger scolling user interface built in called (Titanium)

Calkulin's Touch Pro 6.5 21501 Kitchen (v1.6.2) For All CDMA Carriers Calkulin's Touch Pro 6.1 21043 Kitchen (v1.6.2) but the pages would not load.

Re: What ROM are you running and why?
TF3D is the User Interface, even if you disable TF3D and use the regular today screen, you would still have "finger-scrolling".

build numbers signifies if its WM 6.1 or WM 6.5...someone pls correct me if I'm wrong... I suggest you try out the 6.1 kitchens first...and be patient. Esp when you get down to the TF3D customization choices. Remember to just select one if it only requires one. Also, when you have the kitchen and unzipped it. You will want to choose the option "BuildOS" when you have it up...and don't let the about of content in the zip fiel scare you...it all works |

I like Juggalo's ROM because he took the extra time to cater to Sprint people while he was on Telus. You won't find things like the sprint music store not working, no update profile/update prl in settings, the phone not being registered as a SPRINT branded diamond on powerdeck/other websites. And the WM 6.1 build he uses is flawless. EDIT: I'm currently using Calkulin's kitchen to cook my own ROMs as Juggalo has not made an update to his Diamond ROM in quite some time. I didn't know Calkulin had made a Touch Pro kitchen. In that case I HIGHLY recommend Calkulin's kitchen if you want a minimalistic ROM. I built a minimalistic ROM with it and couldn't be happier. I built my ROM without TF3D/Manila or the HTC Dialer incase I decide to install either later I can. And since neither are cooked in, you get extra space and you don't have to worry about overwriting manila/dialer ROM files if you ever wanted to switch, just uninstall your current, install a new one and you're good to go. Re: What ROM are you running and why?
Dude, this is going to be a trip. I started it up, but ILMFAO b/c I'm selecting almost everthing to put in. It's too damn funny. I guess if its an available option then I can put it in there, no?
