can't answer calls on touch pro

I just got a touch pro, when a call comes in, I'm not able to answer it using the touch screen. Also, if I'm on a call, I'm not able to press any of the buttons on the touch screen. Is there something wrong with the phone or is there an option that I missed? If I'm not on a call or not trying to answer a call, the touch screen works fine.
