sounds silly yes...but at the same time. it's true. yes don't want you to ruin it for the rest of the thieves. because there's only a few thieves....but thousands of potential thieves. a few probably won't mess it up....thousands will.

but although u're being defensive right now...u said it yourself, "i hear what your saying"

so with that....i believe u understand where i'm coming from....and for me, i'll let it end there.

"I hear what you're saying" =/= "I agree with what you're saying."

I still stand by my post and see nothing wrong with it. I am not responsible for what some fool takes out of my story and does with it. I simply don't care. I think worrying about it is preposterous.

Like I said, we'll have to agree to disagree. If a mod thinks I've violated the rules, they'll delete it.

Oh and I just did some quick math. I think when I started with Sprint, the insurance was $4 a month. Chance it could have been $5 but we'll go with $4 just to low ball my figures. That means I've paid around $432 in total for the 9 years i've been with sprint. But I know it was $5 for most of that time, and now it's what, $7? I've never had a single claim, but $hit, I feel like someone owes me something now. I'm not a mathmetician (or a spell-atition) but that's a lot of high quality phones! Just laughing about this, that's all!

Re: Gotta love Sprint TEP.

well i guess the party's over-sort of....saw this thread a few days ago....my mogul was very tired so i called to use the sprint tep. got a new phone in 2 days but it was a new mogul NOT a touch pro *f'n a*! all isnt so bad i guess, i still love my mogul, but a tp woulda been nice! this mogul is sligtly different though-sprint logo on top is white not black and ir & mini usb ports are in different positions-seems to run faster than old mogul. anyone got any clues on this one? as far as I can tell the specs are about the same

Re: Gotta love Sprint TEP.

I liked the OP's story.

I am getting fed up with TEP's in general these days. I left T-mobile partially because of that BS. When I signed on, I was paying $3 and the deductible was $35. I had always had high end phones and never got anything (that I saw) in the mail. When the time came that a drunk friend of mine (she's pretty hot, at least) threw my phone in her yard one night and it then rained.....yeah, the phone was not doing so well anymore. Anyway, at that point, I believe I'd been with them for two or three years and made the claim. I'd noticed by now that my insurance was up to $6/month I believe and then they informed me that high end phones had more than $100 deductible! I had the Nokia 6600 and they wanted to give me a Razor. A RAZOR. Razors were free phones at this point and worthless. So I'm still a little upset with that situation. I ended up buying an SDA for less and canceled my insurance.

Now I'm paying the $7, already not happy with this. Recently dropped my Touch and had it replaced at the $50 deductible. Get the new phone in, I know they're refurbs, I try to put this out of my head and not inspect it too close so I might overlook any defects and not be too disatisfied...but then I put the screen gaurd on the phone and the screen FALLS OUT. So they send me another one, this one just has issues with the memory card cover pushed out while loaded.... ended up paying the difference now for a Touch Pro due to other needs, but that's my rambling story(s)

On the bright side of things, after April, I'll be saving $7/month on my phone bill now. Between the shoddy refurbs and outragous deductible (not even calculating for the $7/month) TEP has become quite the raw deal.

If not, you get 30 days from Sprint and the remainder of the 1 year warranty is through the HTC. If you lose it or drop it in a pool, that's TEP regardless, but if it's an issue with hardware or software, that's warranty through Sprint/HTC. One caveat is if you buy it at BB or another retailer. But the majority of people here have gotten their phones from Sprint. I have used TEP once, 3 years ago. It was a nightmare. The phone they sent was a certified POS. The second one wasn't much better. I keep it so I can go right into my local store and just get my problems taken care of.
What does best buy have to do with this? I upgraded to my TP at BB, and still have my tep/etc. Also, the contract I signed at best buy did say TEP for $x/month with $x deductible, so it is arguable that $50 deductible is part of my contract.

$432 is a lot of high quality phones? No it isn't. Also, do you pay car insurance or homeowners insurance? You've paid a lot more for that, don't they owe you something too? Insurance isn't like a savings account where they should give you something in return, it's a system of everyone who is part of it to share the costs of other people's ****ups. That's how I look at it. You're helping replace someone else's phone (whether fraud or not), and in return if you need a new phone, you will be helped in return.

i made this argument before on something else, forget what.. but i thought bout it after..

you cant be grandfathered into a clause thats open-ended.. everything states " terms of agreement are subject to change......with or without notice" so yeah, were all stuck with the increase... ive had 6 exchanges through sprint over the years i think, ive never paid 1 deductable, sprint always picks up the tab

Re: Gotta love Sprint TEP.

sorry but apparently i missed 2 pages of posts... how can anyone really think TEP is not worthwhile.. how many frivilous claims have we put in... how many people made stuff up, to try to get a Pro instead of another refurbed mogul... alot of us did some shady things.. people were even posting on here how to brick ur phone intentionally, or what problems u have to have or make up to get a chance at a pro..

look now theres threads about, " are there still moguls available", everyone just about is out for the hustle.. the increase is a product of abuse.. stop dropping your phone and scratching the screens up and thinking your entitled to a free replacement for your screw ups... dont wanna spend the money for insurance, then buy a good case and leave the argument alone..

flat out if you have prob with asurions prices, drop your insurance, and stop complaining people.. your paying it, their not making you have insurance.. but have fun shelling out 300+ more bucks when you wanna be a baby over the chrome cracking or something else so stupid..

**** the word "YOU" in here i assure is NOT geared at anyone, i promise, just the improper dialect i used in here lol****
