Re: Gotta love Sprint TEP.
I liked the OP's story.
I am getting fed up with TEP's in general these days. I left T-mobile partially because of that BS. When I signed on, I was paying $3 and the deductible was $35. I had always had high end phones and never got anything (that I saw) in the mail. When the time came that a drunk friend of mine (she's pretty hot, at least) threw my phone in her yard one night and it then rained.....yeah, the phone was not doing so well anymore. Anyway, at that point, I believe I'd been with them for two or three years and made the claim. I'd noticed by now that my insurance was up to $6/month I believe and then they informed me that high end phones had more than $100 deductible! I had the Nokia 6600 and they wanted to give me a Razor. A RAZOR. Razors were free phones at this point and worthless. So I'm still a little upset with that situation. I ended up buying an SDA for less and canceled my insurance.
Now I'm paying the $7, already not happy with this. Recently dropped my Touch and had it replaced at the $50 deductible. Get the new phone in, I know they're refurbs, I try to put this out of my head and not inspect it too close so I might overlook any defects and not be too disatisfied...but then I put the screen gaurd on the phone and the screen FALLS OUT. So they send me another one, this one just has issues with the memory card cover pushed out while loaded.... ended up paying the difference now for a Touch Pro due to other needs, but that's my rambling story(s)
On the bright side of things, after April, I'll be saving $7/month on my phone bill now. Between the shoddy refurbs and outragous deductible (not even calculating for the $7/month) TEP has become quite the raw deal.
