Something is still accessing it. But, because you renamed it to a different file name, once you soft reset again, the program that is accessing it should link to the pim.vol that you copied onto your device (it won't know what pimbkp.vol is), then you should be able to delete the renamed one.

I did a soft reset with no such luck, the hard reset pim.vol did not collaborate and copy the pimbkp.vol to itself, and I still cannot delete the pim.vol file.

Do you have your contacts restored and just have the 2 copies of pim.vol or are your contacts still blank? If your contacts are there, use PIMBackup to back them up, delete the pim.vol you copied over, reset the other file's name, and then use PIMBackup to restore and make everything happy.

you cant delete pim.vol you need to rename the new one then copy over the original one.

I fixed my contacts, I took my old pim.vol file and copied it to my phone and renamed the newly remade pim.vol with no contacts on it to something like pimp.vol and then renamed the one with all my contacts on it to pim.vol soft reset the phone and bingo! Now all I need is for the sprintfix.cab to actually fix my tab alignment.

op, i do this with no pc. soft reset. find pim, rename to pim2, copy to card, then pim will still be on mainmem. hard reset if thats what your after. then after hard reset, rename the pim on main mem to pim3 and now find pim2 on storage card and renameto pim, copy to main mem and soft reset. then delete pim3 thats on main mem.

Awesome good to know some other people figured it out too, now anyone know why my sprintfix for the tab alignment isnt working or am I going to just have to live with it for the time being? :\

i missed some of the post and im too lazy to read all the pages, what cabs are you installing to fix the problem? ill help ya.

Im using the mUnBGM_Sprintfix_NisseDILLIGAF.cab to attempt to re-align my tabs for the tf3d system, however it seems to have no affect what so ever.
