cost, and many of the complaints are just universal from the way the phone was designed. No matter what, the KB will become loose over time as an example, and this phone is no different in design from the GSM version when it comes to the slider mechanism. I would be very surprised if I am wrong about this... I waste my fingers typing this... I don't think you would ever understand so why should I try? You are so demanding, I know I could never make you happy... ![]() Last edited by Insoc; 12-24-2008 at 05:21 PM. |

I would probably forgive all that stuff if it didn't overheat--but since every single one I had, did, then when their "powers combine," it's one big stinkfest. I've kind of got my eye on the Fuze, but with it's terrible GPS reception and/or AT&T's strangle-hold on the GPS, it's pretty much a deal-breaker... I guess at least it wouldn't overheat at all, and would easily last all day--since it's GSM... plus you can use data while on a phone call, which is pretty cool... but if the GPS flops, I would think a lot of people would be unhappy... |

The hardware keyboard totally stopped working on my second one (10/16 again, or whatever the date was of the first one), and I've come to learn that it had major cell reception issues (which the first one also had). Apart from that, I was very pleased with my second one. My current one (12/9) has the more dim, yellow screen, but the hardware keys at the bottom are totally perfect, and the back case fits MUCH better... it's very tight and doesn't squeak. It's a change in the case, not the phone, because I've tried both cases on and the old one squeaks while the new one does not. The screen yellow-ness seems to be going away, I'm letting it break in. Relevent to the thread, my third one showed up after about a week and a half... The CS rep said it would be 1-2 days and it took about 10... No complaints beacuse I knew they were back ordered, and I got a brand new one! Not a reman, and the latest build group. |

Mine too is build date 12/9/08 the Home button is slightly raised and it heats up when on call of 20 min or more or when streaming for extended periods, then the battery stops charging, I really want to send this one back too, But IMO all of them are flawed. I just don't want a Blackberry.

Re: [Was] TP no longer backordered! In stock now... [Now] Out of stock again :(
Interesting, so they sacrifice longevity for the cool sprint effect...
The spring assist is pretty damn cool... Do SideKicks wear out real fast? I've never heard that before--but they have the most aggressive spring mechanism I've ever seen... I'd probably take the 6700 version if I could, but the keyboard longevity is the last of my worries on the TP ![]() |
