6/8/09 FIRMWARE UPDATE: Verizon GPS Unlocked

Ok I have a big problem. I have done the GPS fix and now I have no connection, no data no phone nothing. The attenna has little bars like its looking but nothing. I cant even turn on my data connection as it wont let me. Here are the steps I did exactly in order:

1. download lllboredlll_VZW_GPS_Fix_v2.cab AND PPST1.46.cab and put on your storage card or any folder on your device
2. install PPST1.46.cab
3. use gsfinder,total commander or File Explorer to navigate to \windows\ppst.exe
4. click on ppst.exe and go thru the prompts
5. reset your device as needed
6. NOW install lllboredlll_VZW_GPS_Fix_v2.cab
7. use gsfinder,total commander or File Explorer to navigate to \windows\ppst.exe (EVERYONE MUST COMPLETE THIS STEP FOR THE FIX TO TAKE AFFECT)
8. reset your device as needed


After step 7 when I ran ppst.exe again and did the reset is when the problem happened. Someone please help.

I hope you're not trying to apply this fix to the Touch Diamond?

Ooops forgot to change my profile. Im running a VZW Touch Pro with Stock ROM. Hope that helps.

You did something wrong along the way. I've done this fix a number of times and its never failed me.

this is a known issue for some read on thru the first post you will see a PRL attached that gives you better signal so you can do OTA ( *228 )

Im very knowledgeable about ppc's and all the WinMo stuff and I followed the directions exactly. I dunno whats up with that. Ill do a hard reset and see where it gets me.

Thanks bored, I forgot the steps on how to install the PRL from storage card. Mind refreshing my memory?

Please disregard my last post. I got it from the first page.

Well I just did everything over again exactly as instructed, I did the PRL update and updated it. Reset. I still cannot get a signal to be able to re-program. I dont know what it is but I guess I cant do the GPS fix on my phone because no matter what I cant pick up the signal to be able to reprogram. Since I cant get the GPS to use with Googlemaps I will probably go back to my Storm so I can have open GPS.

It's gonna be a few but I'll pull the newest PRL and post it. Unless someone beats me to it.
