Omnia is GPS locked at the moment and I wont even comment on the BB lol

Bored- Just wanted to let you know that after going back in the posts and reading about the same problem I was having with getting the satellites to lock, iI reinstalled the fix cab and ran the PPST file again. After that it worked beautifully! I configured the HTP GPS Tool to cold start, Q7500, 4800 baud and opened the port, then set the Google Maps GPS settings to manual with Com 4 and 4800. Seven satellites locked in in under 15 seconds- while in my house- and the map showed my position after initializing the GPS. Completely cool! Many thanks for the work!

Yo I Cant Get A Gps Fix On Google Maps For Nothing...not Even Amaze Gps...i Tried Most Solutions Aint Nothing Work....can Some Body Help The Kid Lol??????????...im Running Build 21169 An Last Time I Gotta Lock On Google Maps Was With The Stock Rom...when I Had To Run Sprint Nav...to Get A Lock Or 2 On Google Maps....any Real Help????? Everybody Makes It Seem Like They Get Like 34 Locks With 7 Seconds Since When Data Connection Is Gps????

hello I cant seem to find out what i am doing wrong but i am using google maps and it is telling me that it is seeking sattelites, and it never aquires any. htc gps tool says that it aquired about 6 each time i use it. I have followed the steps from 6 on and i do not know what to do

Ok guys...I have a vzw tp with scotts 1.5 kitchen, and use VZ Nav. I have applied, and reapplied this fix, and when using htc gps tools, it will show 7-12 sats used within 10 seconds, but takes 60-90 and will lock 4-6. The fastest it has ever locked was 51 seconds. Why so slow on mine? When I run vz nav I have to retry route about 20-40 times before it finally connects to gps. What do u guys think? Thanks!

Have you checked to make sure "Location on" is checked? Also go outside and try to get the locks.

I use Garmin and it locks within 30 seconds.

I have some questions before I go through with installing this. I am on stock VZW rom.

1. Will this GPS fix affect phone functions like text, email, making/recieving calls in any way?

2. What is the HTC Gps tool for? Do I need to run it first before running Googlemaps, Navigator, etc?

1. No this fix will not affect the phone functions at all..
2. HTC GPS Tool acts as a "primer". You would run the GPS Tool first to get the satellites to lock. Then run your GPS program.

I run Garmin on my phone and dont need the HTC GPS Tool. But some people do.
