New Sprint Touch Pro will not update to any ROM

This problem reminds me that I actually have one XP machine around that my kids still use. It is the computer that I primarily use for all my ROM updates.

Awhile back I had problems using flashing a ROM with my Mogul and Vista so I've always just used my XP machine.

I can load other people's roms but I can not cook a successful rom myself. I hear vista is causing problems with cooking roms. Do anyone have any suggestions?

I just tried cooking a bare bones rom. ASnd it still gets stuck at the first boot screen...

I'm currently trying to update all the windows updates and see if it makes a difference. I'm very skeptic of the windows updates since I'm using a Gateway laptop and I was one of those individuals that suffered from losing sound when i encountered the Sigmatel HD update. I will post my results...

No difference at all I'm still not able to cook my own rom with success. It has to be a problem with my operating system. This is the only explanation I can gather. So if anyone has anymore suggestions for me I'm willing to try it...
