the lawsuit thread ----
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=68671 any advice since my phone is currently in Indianapolis at HTC and I only have 9 days left to respond before they charge the $35 and send it back _________________________ ok so HTC originally told me that the screen wasn't flat because it had a pressure point.. well either they did that themselves or, DUH, heat causes things to warp, and I know this whole problem was because the phone was constantly overheating! Now I just need to know what to say over the phone to have them own up to their damn overheating issue and fix the thing for free! http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=41724&page=51 his phone overheats http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=575259&postcount=540 and yes mine gets too hot to hold or touch for that matter when its charging and 1. the screen is on. 2. the screen is on and i'm using gps. 3. the screen is on during a call. 4. the screen is on during a speakerphone call. so how the heck am I supposed to use the phone while its charging during a call? It gets too hot! After an hour-long phone call, the battery would be nearly drained, even while plugged into the charger. Radio portion of phone would register 116-127F. Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
all screens get funky colors when put near magnets. have you ever had a computer speaker come close to a crt monitor? it makes waves in the screen, but if you move the speaker away, they disappear or they disappear after turning the screen off and an a few times.
those funky colors are not the same as the oil spot on these phones, it DOES NOT ever dissapate, in some cases it grows larger. |

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
I ask again, have you tried it? I stated most cases. Maybe I should say some cases? I had the oil spot by placing it on my tv. The oil spot would slowly get less noticeable, but it would get larger and more noticeable if I put it on the tv again.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
well that's not the brightest idea to begin with anyway is it? why would I try something that would potentially damage my phone? I don't have my phone anyway, HTC has it.
and if it looks like this what you are seeing: http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...6&d=1223025533 http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...7&d=1223025533 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428262 then you're f-ed too! ![]() |

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
That's exactly what I had, but the sprint store replaced my phone. I also read on XDA awhile back that ppl were having the problem by placing the phone on speakers to rest the phone(same concept I did when I rested phone on my tv in my room).
I still think a lot of the problems are caused by magnetic interference of some sort. |

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle
well I never put anything near speakers because I know they are a huge magnet, and I don't have any crt monitors or tvs, all lcd so it happened because of my phone overheating, which you can read about in the bold part of this thread
