They wouldn't for me, they just wanted to replace the screen.

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

So far my new TP has been great, I love the device (( other then the lag on the keyboard and the lag for the thing to ring, although I havent looked into any fixes yet... know any ?? )) and more importantly no rainbow yet. (( knock on wood ))

Great little toy... gotta love it... when it works...

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

if you have the TEP, then it should be easily replaced with another one. Question is, will it be new or a refurb?

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

ok so i noticed this thread a while ago and had no clue what you guys were talking about until i just replaced my phone and it has it now so i know exactly what your talking about and i also know what it is haha!...ok so the way the screens are designed you have the lcd screen then the touch screen hardware on top of that then a platic "protecive" layer on top of that...the plastic layer is made of a bunch of peices of plastic sealed together and then sealed to the phone...the rainbow effect happens when the layers start to seperate....most commonly from a screen protector being peeled off....my replacement was a 30day exchange an the screen protector was not in the box so im assuming thats how mine got it....but hopefully this helps the rest of you...also if you slide your finger over the smudge it disapears until you relieve the pressure from that particular spot bc you are squishing the layers back together

Yeah exactly what I figured out... This is again a problem along the same lines as the white spot. and Sprint should keep replacing them for free because it is a design flaw... Come on HTC! Do you even do any kind of real world testing before releasing a product?

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

yeah big loss to sprint lol.....and they prob do but you gotta figure it this way...if you were lucky enough to get the phone for free before it even came out wouldnt you care for it much more lol...they prob didnt even get the slightest scratch on the phone let alone take off the screen protector to cause this problem lol

Re: UPDATE:Rainbow looking circle

I've got the rainbow smudge **** going on too! Looks like an air bubble... anyone find any fixes? Its not really noticeable if the backlight is on but if the phones off, it looks ugly as hell
