Why does everyone care about credit on something as simple as rubbing their phone?

People spend half their time being politically-correct, or "nice," on here, when they could be doing something better with their time. WeaponX was the first to brave this dye-job, but that doesn't mean others hadn't thought about it... they just didn't have the cajones.

That said, kudos do you, but people have been coloring stuff like this since the beginning of time. People need to stop getting so hung up on "Thanks," and credit. On something like writing software, or patents, or ROM cooking, or whatever, I can see people getting really worked up over that... but he colored his battery cover...

Can I get credit for being the 3rd brave soul to try this. Or was I 4th. I'm just kidding. Well I did mine around 6pm yesterday. As soon as I was done went to the gym. Used my phone at the gym and had it in my pocket for about an hour while I worked out. Then it went back in my jean pocket afterwards for the remainder of the evening. This morning it was in my cup holder in my car on my way to work. Now its just sitting on my desk. So far still lookin good. No signs of fade or scratch. I probably haven't put it through enough but this dye process looks like it will hold up. I tried scratching it with my nail also but no affect.

Im glad everyone can benefit from this. Too bad I didnt think of this when I had my Touch... I would have had the only red "Special Edition" Alltel Touch...

I appreciate the "Thanks". However I am not too concerned with credit since knowledge is power and this little bit helps to re-invent & personalize our phones as it were. I have downloaded .cabs and roms, and apps, files,... the list goes on. I am very pleased with finding something successfully to share with the PPCGeeks community (I only posted it here) for all that PPCGeeks has given me.

Everyone enjoy and please post any tidbit of useful info. Besides your local carrier store, I will search out sites that may supply extra battery covers and post my results...
