http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueTVOut.aspx You need a 3.5mm to RCA cable and then switch the cables around on your TV until you get video. |

Re: Touch Pro Video Cable - Build Your Own
Hello all,
I secured an extra HTC Pro dongle (someone was selling them on Amazon for about $9, IIRC) and was getting ready to break of pin 4 off of, when I wondered if someone managed to hack the software to "virtually" disable pin 4. Thankfully, I found someone who did it. I wanted to offer what I found for those who don't want to buy and/or hack a cable for this exclusive purpose. The software is freely available at http://www.nuerom.com/BlogEngine/page/nueTVOut.aspx It requires a few extra manipulations on the phone to switch it from headset out to TV out, but I prefer that over carrying two dongles. Just as an aside, I used a regular camcorder cable and had to do the same red-is-video/yellow-is-audio swap when hooking up the cable as other people have with the hardware hack. The output looked great! Anyhow, I thought someone else might like to try the software route too --James |
