Buy a standard usb to usb-mini cord instead. Much cheaper.
(And yes, the mini-usb plug is fully compatible with the htc socket)

The standard mini plug really trashed 3 of my moguls USB sockets.
You have to be really careful with them cause they fit, but they wiggle a lot more then the correct USB adapter will work.

I put one of the adapters on my wall charger to keep this kinda thing from happening to me again.

My current mogul is still having problems with the USB socket. =(

Hm.. It does not wiggle any on my htc. Not the slightest.
Still, If the intended use is charging or syncing I see no problem with a wiggly cable as the phone lies still anyway.

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

Bought a Sprint HTC Touch Pro Multicharge Retractable USB Travel Kit for my TP from PDAextreme. The brand is Orion Gadgets

The phone is charging with the retractable cable but contrary to the claim on their website, it can't sync and keep generating USB Malfunction Errors.

Other regular USB to Mini-USB are working fine for both the syncing and charging.

I have emailed PDAextreme and will wait to see their reply.

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

Well I just got a verizon touch pro. Has anyone found any hard 2 piece cases, or even soft, but two piece that you wouldn't have to take off to use the phone. i've found several GSM 2 piece cases, and even a nice sprint one.

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

i finally understood what you guys were talking about... i usually never charge my htc's at home, i charge them at work.

I keep the charger at home in case i need it, but i plug them into the usb port at work with your random usb cable, not the htc cable. it works fine and i've had NO problem at all whatsoever. So i don't know why any of you have had problems other than maybe the USB port on the PC itself is bad, the cable is bad or maybe you're a little too hard on the device? That or the device was bad to begin with.

Sorry and good luck!

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

For the EaseCase in eBay, is this CDMA the right one? or is this too tight? do I have to ask them to add 1mm on each side (or just 2 sides, the length and width)? I just want to be able to take the TP out without much trouble but still tight so that it doesn't fall out accidentally.

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

I got the leather clip case at best buy for the blackberry curve and the TP fits very nicely. The emblem says Blackberry and could probably be pried off, but it doesn't bother me.

I have had at least 4 or 5 retractable USB and firewire cables and all of them have failed very quickly. I loved the retractible feature but their flimisness made them worthless, stay away IMO

Re: Any good sites for docks and accessories yet?

Hey guys, I have wanted to get some accessories to protect my Pro but wanted to wait until it seemed like a lot of it rolled out, now is the time.

I was considering getting a screen guard and one of the Seido innocases. Would anybody say this is ok, or suggest something different??

What I'm looking to do is protect the screen and also get some rubberized case for it. I don't want a holster/clip, I would never put my phone anywhere but my pocket lol.
