Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

I'll give that a try, but considering every time I go to the weather it seems to only THEN update itself, I'm not entirely convinced.

Either way, battery life on this phone so far seems pretty comparable overall to my Mogul (so, in other words, dreadful).

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I just bought a touch pro on black Friday. I love the phone but the battery issue is annoying and unacceptable.

I use my phone intensly. While I'm at work I stream audio over the internet or use the sprint tv feature. I have several email accounts that check for new email every 5 minutes. After about two or three hours of streaming and email checking my email, (bluetooth on also) the battery gets drained -- the thing is, I always have the charger plugged in while doing all of this. Go figure!!

When the battery gets warm it stops charging and when its low the phone and bluetooth, not the device, are turned off automatically.

This should not be. I had to switch to a land line because I received a call while the phone was plugged into the charger but since the battery was low, the phone cut off. I'm HOT about this. As hot as the battery.

I plan to make this a big issue with sprint or htc or somebody. The phone should work on external ac or usb regardless of what the battery is doing. Unacceptable. I love this phone but this is a basic feature that I must have.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I am a developer so I will be looking to see if there are any settings that can make this better.

Amen brother. Most people around here will go so far out of their way to "fix" this design flaw, that they will remove the battery cover, slide open the keyboard, put a fan on it, or even use an icepack, (I know I heard that one.) Instead of putting HTC/Sprint to the fire.

I'm on my 6th phone, and they ALL do this, so I fear that there is no hope for this. Mine overheats on JUST making a phone call. The only way to fix it is to turn it off until it cools down, and plug it back in. Ridiculous.

Had the phone for over a month and STILL can't stay at 100% charged for more than 8 seconds. Absolutely ridiculous.

Battery life longer??

Ive had the phone for about a week now, and everyday the battery has been dead within 10 hours, or less. Today, i unplugged my phone at 12PM and it is not almost 7, meaning 7 hours have p***** and i have 75% battery remaining. I have used the phone to send many texts today, and had some light internet usage. The only thing i have changed was disable the alarm, i highly doubt that the alarm was the fix, but it is strange that thisd happend.

My battery keeps getting drained FAST!

Hey everyone, my Sprint Touch Pro has been good to me ever since I got it when it launched. But just recently wheb I take my phone out of the charger in the morning, my battery gets down to 1 bar within a couple hours. I can feel it getting hot while its locked and idle. Any help would be great

Re: Battery life longer??

Yeah, it's strange, but true.

I complained alot about the battery life initially, but I don't have any complaints on it anymore.

It's true that I don't play with the phone as much as I did on my first week (had around 10% left at the end of the day), but having around 50% at the end of the day works fine for me now.

Strange, but not complaining here lol.

Re: Battery life longer??

Yes, seems to be a fact of life until a larger battery comes out. What I have now is the charger by the bed, plug the phone in at bed time and use it as the alarm in the AM and then unplu and use for the day. Only way I learned to live with it.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I've had mine for about a month and I too cannot get it to stay at 100% after charging. Drops to about 94% in 2 minutes. I did however see an increase in overall drain. Maybe it's from disabling Activesync and using the eliAs_AsyncKiller cab that prevents active sync from running on restart. Both which were posted on the TP thread but cant find at the moment.
