Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Just an FYI to all with problems on this.......make sure when you first get the battery that you train it properly....when I say train.....I mean make sure you are letting the battery die COMPLETLY at least 5-10 times....then recharge fully......do this consistent 1,2,3,4 etc..... and your battery life will definetly be better....mine is fine after doing this and also the life of the battery will be better to....

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I have a heat issue on my Pro, but it's not coming from the battery. For those of you that are experiencing the heat issue, try removing the back cover and feel the area around the camera (Where the radio/processor are I think)... that is the part that is generating heat.

I have my Pro sitting on my passenger seat, only thing that is turned on is the bluetooth connection I have with my Plantronics. If I'm on the phone for more than 5 minutes, that top part gets really hot. I don't even have the auto charger plugged in, and the phone isn't connected to the internet.

My build date is 10/14, but this is the only real issue I have with the phone. I realize its going to get a bit warm, but I wouldn't expect it to get so hot after just 5 minutes.

Any ideas on what I should do?

UPDATE: Visited the Best Buy where I purchased my Pro, and they have not had any of the Pros that were initially sent to them returned. They didn't have an in stock either, the guy said they received 2 shipments of them.

I asked about returning it to a Sprint store since I have TEP, and he said I could go there and get the phone serviced or checked out.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

on my 5th Touch Pro. This one seems to run about 10-15F cooler under same conditions. 11/7/08 (same as my last.) The screen is 10x worse than the last one though. I can barely use the on-screen keyboard, unless I push very hard.

update: My phone is fully-charged, sitting on the charger, the internet is idle, and nothing is going on. I pulled the battery cover and measured 111F, just to the right of the camera lens.

WTF

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Completely disappointed?? LOL To say the least. I have bluetooth turned off, wifi off, e-mail sync set to only happen twice a day. Had the phone off the charger for 1 hr and sent/received 3 txt messages...my battery was down to 60%. Done pretty much everything to save battery life. Ideas?

Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

Yeah I'm pretty stoked too.
Even turning off push and BT my 6700 couldn't make it through the day.
My Pro easily makes it through the day with one battery bar left checking hourly email and connected to my BT headset.
I don't make a lot of calls, but I do use quite a bit of data.
