Agreed.... wait until the first official ROM upgrade that updates the radio and we will see. They (HTC) will usually adress raido issue by the first of second ROM upgrade.

How do you know that HTC will address the Radio issue on their first or second ROM upgrade?

I returned my 2nd TP the other day, went back to my 6800. Sad to say it still is the best useable phone at this point. The TP's issues are not acceptable to me at this point. They shouldn't have released something that didn't work properly.

if its battery issues you need to toughen up

He needs to toughen up? He was just expressing his viewpoint which he has the right to. If he wanted to return the TP let him do it by all means, he paid for it and I'm quite sure he's capable of making his own decisions. Haha stop being another blind fanboy. We don't need Cryphone style extremos around here.

I would check and make sure that your data radio is not running an active data session the whole time (i.e a lot of push email or and IMAP account set to Keep the IDLE connection active all of the time) With the data or voice radios running full time, you will see about 2-3 hours of battery life..

I was thinking of switching back to this after major problems with my G1. Is there a decent smartphone on the market?

While you might
1) have a perfect Touch Pro, or
2) have no idea what you are talking about,

other people don't fall into the same category as you. Even if they do, they sure aren't as mouthy.

The Touch Pro clearly has major issues, and it's questionable as to whether or not HTC will fix them.

Has HTC released ROM updates for the GSM Diamond, or Pro? Hell, even the CDMA Diamond has been out for a while, and still hasn't had an update. -- I know the radios vary, but I still don't think the GSM version gets very good mileage either.
