Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

I have noticed the same thing...Pretty good battery life after a few weeks of use. I am happy. I could not get through a day on my 6700 without the extended battery.

I have weather not changed the HTC weather update settings, I use bluetooth and I have wifi disabled most of the time.

Once I install weather panel and have it updating hourly I will see if it holds up.

Sure customer satisfaction is up, but QC isn't that much better at Apple. That's the point I'm trying to make. They suck almost as bad as everyone else with QC, but they actually take care of you when you have problems.

I've seen a laptop do this once.
Won't happen. Battery cuts off, as everyone knows, when there is too much heat. The reason this happens is so explosions don't happen.

I don't have the huge drop offs after only a matter of seconds/minutes... and it takes hours for it to drop to 90% then hours to drop to 80%... and so on... I get a little over a days worth of life with light/moderate use, which is exactly what the tech reviews reported. For those that have the driver and are having problems, i'm wondering if you're still getting your days worth of a charge, even though there's a huge reading drop off at the beginning... an immediate drop in reading can be mentally draining, but if the lower 80% is lasting longer then maybe the full life isn't so bad. If it's only lasting half a day with light/mod use then you should worry.
I think some of the issue is like hypochondria with some people. People who have made themselves believe there is a battery life issue and who keep staring at the meter. I just ignore battery life until I start getting yelled at for low batter, which usually doesn't happen unless i use my phone a lot, or skip a night charging. There are still issues that need to be addressed, but I don't think it is a huge problem for as many people as are complaining.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

I'm going to have to agree on this too. I have to admit, when I first got my phone I was really nit picking the thing to death. The two main things being the battery life and heat issue. I was also tinkering with my phone all day for the fist couple weeks, and I'm sure that played a role in the battery life. I'm not sure if the battery just got "trained" or what but I now have no problem at all going at least a full day on one charge - with moderate to heavy use. The heat problem is still there, but it isn't something I let worry me. If something goes wrong with the device, I pay good money for TEP.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

So, after disabling my weather auto-updates and changing my email downloads from every 5 minute to manual, my battery works great! haha... of course i have to physically sync both my email and weather tabs but thats a small price to pay for lasting a whole day and still going ( currently with about 70% juice left).
I couldn't get past the early afternoon without having to recharge! Now it seems like i'll make it a whole 24 hours..... cross my fingers!

5 minutes? hell, I'm surprised you got 2 hours out of your phone.

I have mine set to 60 minutes, and I still barely get 5-8 hours of casual text/data usage.

Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

Great Find! It is always one silly setting that cuts the battery life in half.

Please add this to the TP Essentials post.

Thx!

Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

Same here, after a weeks use the battery seems to train and I have no problems with battery life. This made me very happy.

Heat is still there when using wifi heavy, but that is to be expected.

Re: Battery went from horrible to mogul

I've had weather update turned to manual since day one, so I can't really compare. I try to keep the bare minimum. Only takes me a second to update. However, I use push email via an exchange server.
