The battery is 3 pins, so which could you not use (you could use 2 of them)?

If your phone was drawing 134mA in standby, it wouldn't last 10 hours with the standard battery just sitting there doing nothing at all. I get more than 10 hours with a normal days use, and that's with push-exchange-mail turned on 24/7.

mine never came remotely close to 10 hours...

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

using Palladiun's Battlog program i monitored my phone using 13 mA on standby with phone radio on and all other radios off, and typically with nothing running, using the stock ROM with nothing extra installed (other than .net 3.5, battlog, and google maps) and no tweaks performed. i was getting terrible battery life (max 10-14 hours) before hard resetting to test if something i had installed was causing the problems. i ran battlog then, too, and i don't have the log on me, but i recall it drawing a lot more. i dont know what happened, but about 2 days after the hard reset my phone decided to be able to hold a charge now for almost 2 full days with minimal usage, which made me decide against returning it, whigh i was about to do.

now i am just being careful on what changes i make and what i install, and monitoring the battery draw.

here are my current draws (all with phone radio on):
standby (push power button): 13 mA (though there would be intermittant spikes of ~57 - 169 mA when the screen would turn on and/or it would search for signal)
on, screen dimmed: 57 mA
on, lowest auto backlight: 75 mA
on, max backlight: 139 or 169 mA, i forget
phone in use ~500 mA
data in use ~450 mA (idle was lower but i forget what)

i think if i could stop the random turn ons and signal searching, and more efficient radios, my phone would last a lot longer, but i am def happier with my 1.5-2 days minimal use than i was with my 10-14 hours minimal use.

i still haven't figured out what i did wrong last time, but knowing the complete stock setting with nothing added/changed works at least gives me hope.

That's a bit of an exaggertion, well okay it's complete BS. At 200ma consumption in standby, no one would get more than 8 hours out of the phone no matter how light the usage. Mine has lost a lot of capacity and still gets 12 hours without too much trouble.

Battlog shows my standby at 37-60ma, with occasional spikes up to 160. That is consistent with my battery life experiences.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

Well I got about 5 hours til the battery dropped down to 10% today, woke up at 9, unplugged it at 10, set phone to airplane mode for 30 minutes while in train, played Astraware sudoku for a good..5 minutes, made a 10 minute call, set phone to airplane mode again for another 30 mins... by the time I got home I had 10% battery left... Thats just ridiculus, maybe I need to "condition" the phone as I just got it 3 days ago..I did all the battery tweaks too..sighh

With push mail on, and data connected, (idle,) mine pulled 150-200 nearly all day.

I say all day, but it never lasted that long. I had to keep it on the charger literally all day.

Let's hope this hardware version 2 is better!

I just installed myself and noted an improvement.

Im at 14% and started off at 30% at around 12:00 yesterday afternoon. Thats damn good. Not sure if its ROM related or radio related. Had planned on doing som real testing later on this weak.
