Re: Battery dead after charging overnight

Last night i made sure that the phone was charging, and this morning the light was solid on the touch pad... but the phone would not turn on. Soft reset, then i got a battery warning and it turned off. I plugged the charging cord back in and it showed that it was connected and charging. Yesterday i charged it off my work computers usb and it charged fine (in about 3-4hrs). The only program that was running in the background was active sync, and the weather program is the only thing that downloads anything (email not setup) and wifi is off. I also notice that sometimes the screen will turn on while charging for no reason. Has anyone seen anything like this? Got any tips for me? Bad phone?
Why was my thread merged into this thread? nobody on this thread has this issue and it is not a report of battery performance. Oh well, hopefully somebody here will come across this and let me know whats up.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

It definitely shows as getting a charge but it just burns so fast it is annoying the battery is my only complaint about the phone.

Re: Touch Pro Battery life!!! Post your reviews!!

after conditioning my battery properly, draining the battery until the phone never came on again, it is lasting quite well with heavy use. I took it off the charger after it was completely charged at 2am and I have only lost 1/10 bars and it is now noon. Throughout the mornings I have been texting very heavily.

Now there is an Idea! I'm Thinking it should coincide with the next major phone release

Re: Hot

this has been talked about a lot. people do experience a lot of heating issues with the TP depending on what they are doing with the phone at the time.

Re: Petition?: We need to get HTC to fix this heat/charging issue!!

It is not accurately to measure the radio power usage when you randomly do so because it drains power varies depending on the distance to the nearest tower, current network capacity, weather condition, as well as obstruction towards the tower . The further away from the tower requires more transmitting power and it takes longer due to lower bandwidth and error rate. This applies both data and voice. Just .02 when you compare different reading from different people...

Re: Petition?: We need to get HTC to fix this heat/charging issue!!

I think a good comparison would be having a Touch, and a Touch Pro next to each other.

Just because something is more powerful, doesn't mean it has to use more power. My Turion X2 Ultra in my laptop uses less power than my Turion X2 in my other laptop. Much more powerful.
